As always as we get to mid world after the initial hype of the world, things slow down and people tend to get bored.

I'm really interested in setting up a few different ideas with the support of the haven community.

Three main things really:

1. A large communal feast area- we have already pretty much set this up at a close distance to Emerald City, it will have it's own idol, so that we can oath others into it, to use it. It would be nice to be able to open it up for everyone, but it maybe that we do it so that groups of people can use it at the same time, if they trust one another to do so. The area is walled, will have a table arrangement and chairs, with the bon fires as well as mansions with storage for food, for those who wish to prep food before a feast, or store it there for feast day. Everyone is free to use this once it's fully completed.

2. A trade hub- it was suggested early world that EC does this, and although I don't really have a lot of time to put into projects within the game, it should be fine once things are set up, and my villagers are very interested in seeing projects like this happen.
It will have a similar set up to last world, however, we are thinking about having small trade plots for traders which are walled and closed off until trading hours, so that if attacked it adds some security to traders items. 'Open air trades' can be done in the centre of the trade town for those who want to use it.

3. Alongside the trade hub, we want to create an underground spar arena, social area, where people can meet, spar and chat, or whatever they choose to do.

Any other ideas are welcome, We are still finding a suitable location for the last two options, if anyone has any recommendations, that'd be great. Preferably not close to any large factions, and not northern supergrid!

The town for new/returning players is also going well, so if we can find another location and more people are interested in being a part of a scent free town to learn the game, we can do more of those.

Input would be appreciated!

Additional ideas:

- Beer garden or pub
- Ox cart racing
- Some form on voice communication for the community

My input is, how would you prevent people from two sides of a war from slaughtering each other during a feast, or getting set up while sparring?

Thats not his problem, if both big factions feel like feasting with each other and the kill each other why should he care? as long as they dont ruin the place?

Lord timo pretty much sums it up.

I wont be opening it up for anyone to just walk in, in terms of the feast area at least.
If a town wants to use it, and decides to share it with some other friends they know ingame, I will open it for them or oath them in. They can set up their tables, food etc and do the feast.

If in the process they fight and kill each other, it was their decision to do it together, so it's their business, not mine.

Same with spar arena, it will be open for anyone to come down, so you do so at your own risk. and I'm going to presume that some will use it as an opportunity to just kill random newbs or whatever. but I hope not. If it does become an issue, we can wall area off, and try to control it a little, but i'd rather not control an open area that's meant to be fun.
The only area i'm trying to design to be more protected is the trade hub so that traders are protected and their items are from theft, or a ram or whatever.

It really comes down to community responsibility, if people enjoy these projects, and more pop up then i'd hope no one would try to attack people using them. We can try and see how it goes. If it works, great, if it doesn't...we can all go hide out behind our town walls :D

I like the idea of the pub. Make it 2º or 3º layer and destroy the mining hole...only way to get in is from Idol.(you can port to an underground Idol?)
Not so big, so we can see the whole place without walking much.

Beer kegs?

Sure you can port to underground idols - the only problem is both chars have to be on the same layer when oathing

But what Pub ?!? :o
