As posted before, don't afk. Your asking to be a sitting target, literally. And if you want to make it harder to get stolen from, claim your land and then put a hearth fire in front of the door of the house. This way only that alt or character can access that house unless the thief has vandalism then you are just screwed. But doing those measures will help protect your stuff until you have a palisade up.

As LostJustice said, you can also claim your property and build a roundpole fence around it, and instead of a gate put your HF. Lets you protect more than the house unless he has vandal.

If he does have vandal, pack up and move.

This is a town claim now, called tomato.

As of yesterday there has been another attacker, i was knocked out while building my palisade wall, he then proceeded to steal a bear hide of mine. He returned today and attacked me again, but i escaped. Ozoneparrot has the scents and is on the lookout.
