Still, you can't be too careful these days. You let a complete stranger have access to all of your village's items, did you honestly think something like this couldn't happen?

I wont post the exact chat log, However i'll summarise essentially what took place.
So, shes logged onto skype after seeing this post to discuss her actions in game.

Essentially she was unhappy that we did not trust her with a Key. I gave her the option to contact me or my girlfriend on skype when she wanted to go outside of the gate as we both had access to a key alt (an alternative to giving her a key... as i was not going to give a key to a complete stranger). During her stay she afked in the village, used a hunger bot, consumed curios & food and rarely contacted us to open the gate (a total of two occasions). Her role was not solidified as our village was comprised of only three people including herself, however she became the hunter of the village none the less.
So we fed her curios, a leather backpack, bronze gear a bear cape, bear talisman and a sling (among other things) during her short stay at our village. We hunted a bear and on two instances she went out and hunted alone, killing a total of 2 bears, two mouflon and three boars during her stay. However it was apparent she was slacking in that regard as she was rarely able to hunt and AFK'd a majority of the time. So my girlfriend and I covered her role, Hunting on the moor alone, attempting to establish a minehole to the second floor (get my hands on iron) to try and make crossroads.
Moving on, Her rationale behind the theft was 'payment' for the animals she had slain and in all her arrogance, couldnt see that i was approachable at anytime to discuss any intentions of leaving the village or anything. she proclaimed she was a fast player and that in the time she stayed with us she could have farmed a whole character (approx 2 & 1/2 weeks). so we were holding her back and i mean i can respect that, however where i have my problem is with the things she took and how exactly she thought she deserved that as payment for doing nothing. She proclaims she was not able to do anything but then wants payment for the things she has done (what?). So a 'fair' payment in her eyes was Two chests containing about 15 bronze bars, my smithy hammer, clay jar, 10 hardened leather, 10 rope, few Linen cloth and a cupboard full of Beef sausages which i had made the day before.
She didnt have any intention to inform us of taking the things, nor did she have the intention of telling us she was leaving the village.
she mention that she could have taken more if she wanted to, and how nice it was of her to have only taken that and not killed us.
she also seemed to confuse Newbie and noob to have the same meaning.
The skype conversation ended with me lecturing her about decency and respect to which she had no reply.

Heres a quote:

"you never gave me a key or will do the crossroads in 2 months, in 2 months normally i farm a whole character. i see the few bronze and leather as my payment for my hunting, so you got your first talismans and bear capes for mining. otherwise you would have that also in just 3 months. i didnt damage anything or killed some animals, so you can live like u did and i can build up with others who are as fast as me are. i was online tons of time and not able to hunt. youre nearly inactive and way to slow. 2 chests are an ok payment i think".

i'll also follow up with my total hours played just to point out that she is full of shit:
3 weeks, 1 days, 10 hours, 59 minutes, 41 seconds

Honestly, if you're going to let a villager in, do make sure he can get out of the village when he wants, ESPECIALLY if he is a hunter.
In the quote she mentioned that she is the reason you got the bear capes. Is that true? If so, you didn't really "equip" her with it, she did it herself.
One more complaint, when you see someone slacking, demanding everything and being arrogant, talk to him about it, don't wait for him to initiate conversation.
If you had talked to her about her behavior maybe it wouldn't end up like this.
Sad shit bro, though. I know what backstab feels like. It feels like a cold stab in the heart :'(

She did essentially equip herself with the cape. However the first bear was a combined effort of alt luring to the paliside (by myself) and hunting by both my gf and her so i would not consider the initial cape (my cape for mining) to be valid. as far as the talisman I was lucky enough to come across Loot with a burned out hearth fire which contained bear teeth and discovered it with a barter stand.

also worth pointing out I had access to bronze before the bear cape.

You are correct, In hind sight i should have approached her about it and it may have been different. But i do also believe that if she had an issue she should have come to me to address that.

Well, honestly in any village, if you do not provide anything, you do not get anything. I am the farmer and miner of my village and my friend is the hunter, crafter, and curious collector. If he doesn't provide me with curious and meat then I don't farm or mine and vice versa. We also never fill in for each other's roles, we just kick them out and find a new person to fill that role that will actually do it.

And anyone that is a hog on resources is also kicked out, you use what you deserve and need, nothing more, nothing less. Also, I do say that key alt was a good plan, never trust anyone with the keys and always keep your keys on a separate key alt.

If we have issues with anything, we also talk to each other about it because communication prevents problems from happening and allows us to solve it there before it builds up into any kind of hate.

To those that listen there is always a diplomatic way of resolving things rather than resorting to other means. :)

This is why I make anyone who wants to join go through the 7 trials first.

Trial 1: Bring me 4 bears, 3 boars, 2 deer and a virgin.

Trial II: Do the dance of Carlton followed by the Elaine, then the Macarena. True noble characters will be able to perform these dances upon request.

Trial C: Answer me these questions 3.

Trial Four: Prove you aren't one of the innumerable douchebags on these forums. (Probably the most difficult task set before anyone)

Trial V: You are offered two cups of coffee, one from Starbucks, one from Dunkin Donuts. Which do you choose?

Trial 6: Do you like soccer?

Trial 0010010110: Enter the captcha to prove you aren't a bot.

I normally build a base with several layers and let a person in layer by layer as time pases. Last person I let in, took a bunch of strings from the first layer (fish stuff area) and thought I wouldn't notice. When I asked him about it, he said "Oh, I think I'd steal something more worthwhile if I was aiming to steal" to which I replied " I didn't ask you if you stole, I asked if you took.......". He ran away and dekinned me after that last line and every once in a while he'd drop frogs in front of the river of my place. In all he stole the noob gear I gave him, some shitty seeds I farmed outside and a bunch of string used for fishing.

I like warped method as well
