Blocking the mountain would be extending my reach all over it and not some square. If I had access to brickwalls, I would've done that but since I'm new this is the best I can make and I honestly don't feel like spending two hours moving all my shit to some location I don't even know because some asshole thinks I'm blocking the mountain.

by blocking, what your neighbor meant and what you think it means are different.
every tile you occupy for stupid palisades and housing and all will be wasted for foraging. and you are still too new to see all those forageables, i guess?
some asshole thinks youre blocking the mountain? im sure others think you are the asshole.

I think the aspect that bothers the most is someone is trying to shove me off with force and not trying to be reasonable.

you are the one not being reasonable.
they at least talked to you first, and left a runestone. you are not trying to listen to them why they want you out.

I don't even know how to contact them. I just left a runestone next to the threat asking to talk about it. I also don't think saying "it's rude to block the mountain" counts as "talking to me about it".

I would kill you on sight for settling on a mountain.

Within 3 minimap grids of the mountain, I'd ask you nicely to move, but ON the mountain... no.

As tonky explained, you are blocking them from forraging with every tile you occupy.

Also living on a mountain is a really bad place, you won't ever be able to grow crops or trees on a mountain.

Mountain forageables are among the most valuable in the game, mountains are way scarcer than any other useful type of ground. Dont settle -on- a mountain in Haven, only brings you trouble.

Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

you need to realize that you are basically asking for it. you are somewhat griefing your neighbors by building your base on a mountain.

Runestones are runestones. Every newbie can make them and whether or not they mean anything is a flip of a coin. If you want to chance it, then chance it. Otherwise pack up and move. You can try to talk it out but people are more than a little trigger happy. There isn't much more to say on the situation, so roll with whatever you decide to do and do it without regrets.
