If your leader of a medium sized village, you should be able to kill the bear without his claim mattering.


Well higher level bears are the only animals I cannot one shot. Once I hit her, she ran into his claim and despawned for some reason. Even if I chased her into the land and killed her. I would of left a scent for stealing the bear.

Shoot it when it twitches. Chances of running away are much lower then. You have to aggro it with call down the thunder or a missed shot though for this method to work. And yes counterclaims is the way to go if the claim is expanding.

Also he cant expand his claim onto village authority. So you can use that as a counterclaim if its close.

thanks for the tip on hunting, I'm more of a farmer and only really hunt when meat is needed for the grinder. Good Idea on the counter claim. Might have My trader alt set a claim riverside to stop him and to have a place to make boats and fish.
