For a peaceful player who was upset at the thought of taking over an abandoned place I was quite surprised to hear you destroyed their stuff and took away what you could carry though, they probably definitely want you dead now!

To be honest everything I destroyed was mine. I was the one who built most of what we were using as most of their LP was going to criminal act skills and combat skills where as I was the one actually crafting etc. What I left was the cupboards of stuff they gathered which wasn't much. I did destroy the 3 other boats I built but that was to give myself a good head start as I don't think any of them had boat making yet.

And yea I think this was just recently raided and the claim/idol destroyed. I am just leaving the option open that if they come back I will gladly hand it back over and only take what I need to make a new HF and claim stake and go on my happy little way.

Were talking about 3 people I met off other forums who heard about the game wanted to get started and the first things they chose to learn was the criminal act skills instead of the skills that would allow them to survive. We kept the chat open at all times to leave messages to each other as well as progress reports. These are people who instead of playing just want to rob and kill others for their stuff without realizing they need the skills to use said items. Were not dealing with really smart people here. yet another reason why I left. You'd think they would want houses or a base before hand but instead they were focusing on how to get swords etc from other people and kill and take over another base. I don't think too highly of people who never plot out survival and just focus on ruining others fun. Luckily from the chats I stayed a part of even after leaving it looks like they may be abandoning H&H for DayZ or Landmark once the combat and pvp gets implemented. Again not really smart people just trying to use brute strength and numbers to get what they want. Best of luck to them I severed all ties.

Are you sure they could kill you? Murder is pretty expensive and I reckon you only started some days ago. Foraging curios I think one would need more than 10 days to get it, and without spending much in ua or mm either.

But even newbies can bash your boat and bring some boars, so you never know.

EDIT: ninja'ed.

When someone starts talking about killing you and already are working on getting the skills to do so would you stick around? Hey if they leave or stay I doubt they will ever find me. I never did anything wrong until I tresspassed to get away so I shouldn't have left a scent. I changed my HS so they can't add me and I found a much better place to live. No matter how you look at it I think I covered myself pretty good so weather they stay and get the skills or go and abandon H&H I think I made out okay and if they do leave we all benefit lol.

venatorvenator wrote:You mean ethically? I suppose a month without logging in forfeits your ownership over the things in your claim. If you can destroy the stake, take the items. If not, don't. Taking the items without destroying the stake will only end badly for you.

Some people track and kill for tresspass. But those are the people who would kill you anyway and just need an arrow pointing to you. And basic metal tools are quite a boost for starting settlements, so you'll develop quicker.

EDIT:

Logged in today...They already started and we dont even have our palisade done yet and we all dont have the str to mine yet to get the metal for the brick wall.

So you also don't have vandalism, theft, and lawspeaking, I assume?

Usually this is if your online at that time, people dont typically track to hearth with trespassing, unless they know exactly who you are.

On the island and near our village is several claims that are a bit more advanced than us and we can see some things that would help us out, Metal meat grinder etc, on claims that are rotting, IE almost everything is orange and even large chunks of wall are missing. I am not the leader of the village and my vote is to leave them alone but we all govern ourselves and the others wish to get the skills to go looking at what they have and take what we need. I have a feeling this is going to end up with me getting attacked if anyone decides to track scents even if I stay out of it. Unless of course no one cares about dying claims and no one is going to track us down for things they do.

Thoughts or opinions please? Like I said I would rather leave them be even if the items would be helpful.

Edit: We know we can try to declaim these claims but some of them are too far out and we doubt we could stretch our boundaries that far and get the authority to declaim them. Some are just massive.

Same. I will track a logged off tresspassing scent found at a random afk base for like 2 hours then log out at their base and camp them for like a week until I get them... I'm kinda special, but there are other who will do the same.

I only trespass over a claim if I am out travelling by boat go to get to another river and there is a massive claim for no reason (nothing built just huge empty claim) or a village that again is blocking the way to the next river or something and I have to in order to get to the next river.
