I don't know the scripting language used by the clients well enough. A script can't send data to a site the client doesn't allow, though. So if a script can run a keylogger, I would suggest not using said client.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

I read the script and I didn't see anything keyloggy...
Easy to check too, once you run the script just check if the file is sending anything to any emails or addresses

Cool - now you just have to tell us how you are checking that ... we all want to know...

I didn't check it myself, I just read the script.
Anyway, I was guessing some tools/antiviruses exist that check where and when you send packets.

Set up a virtual machine with a fresh install of your operating system of choice, copy over only the client, and nothing else, download Java if you have to, then run a packet sniffer program like Wireshark or Tcpdump and watch for any connections to somewhere other than Seatribe's IP.

Or download a packet sniffer that can sniff certain things like java, make it sniff Java (disable checking for updates and close anything else java related)

You can create a filter to only watch Java connections, a virtual machine is just the safest way to go, besides having a separate box entirely unable to contact your machine whatsoever for testing.
