It's nice to have a bunch of experienced players working together at the start and not just nubs like me. Hopefully they can form the core of a real militia that can bring the pain to any troublemakers. We might see a few hunts as well as ramming and summon kills just to set an example. Brodgar will always be exposed to raiders in that there is no external wall, and anybody can walk in. However getting real loot is annoying when you have so many independent walls so the payoff is low. If we can make the corresponding risk too high, then we can get a bit of safety.

Of course, any Brodgar militia will only have a justified existence in setting securing our right to self determination and continued peaceful existence. If a person in Brodgar turns un-provoked raider they deserve no protection from the town if people come-a-looking for them.

Can't agree more about the active development.

My hermitage's idol should be done in about 24 hours. I look forward to trading with... Brodgarians? Brodgarites? Bros?

Very well thanks. We have a palisaded keep since yesterday that is 130x130 tiles in size, and a vidol is already drying. Some 20 personal claims have been settled in /marked out, there are maybe twelve houses built, and we have hunters bringing in bears, deer, boar, etc.

I will post more journal entries as we go along.

Lol. We have done the opposite. Claims are now 25x25.

However - It might be cool to divide some of those into half or even quarters for people like hunters who just want a little hut with room to dry skins and such.
