People steal boats because they know it sets you back a pretty hefty time, having to make a new boat takes resources and time, of which the thieves/pirates would gain an advantage in building up their strength and tech.

In this game, people will be desperate to make you go back to square one... For simple reasons for that matter.

10+ trees gets used up, I'm talking about boat theft forcing you to make new ones, in effect lowering the trees available to use until you gotta walk further away to get em.

As more and more theft occurs to more players, more and more trees gets used up sooner. Might not seem like a big deal initially but give it a month with the current population and some regions will start becoming grasslands lol.

Now consider that your boat gets stolen while you hunted a animal and harvested it, this adds additional time based on what you are initially doing to build containers to hold them so you can build a boat.

But granted, after a period of time, once players are strong enough to demolish boats, boat theft becomes less common and boat bashing becomes the common. Trees are still chopped though lol.
