The thing is I don't see anything wrong with griefing. Do i grief? no.

I do see things are wrong. You can bring a node from q100 to q10 in 10mins. Try to calculate how long the node needs to come back to q100.

do you think many random player care if some other' dude's node was ruined. nope. so your personal gain must be protected under any cause so that other players can't ever leave vandal scents again is that right?
Who cares about nodes. fuck them . destruction is a natural thing. the remaining nodes will become more valuable. so in the end those who put the most effort in protecting them wins.

I'm pretty sure you can place walls around a player but not around my river clay node.

So only building protection matters? If someone steals from you, find out who it was and wage war.

If you're going to defend your dumb arguments with a new unrelated equally dumb arguments you're doing it wrong.

lol

"Oh, they're vandaling our nodes? BETTER WAGE
WAR BOYS!!!"

-later-

"Nope, they're still waiting for us to only be on as
one person alone outside, they're still all in the
walls / logged off"

"Nope, none of them are using their combat alts
today, nothing to kill, guess i should just make alts
and vandal their node"

-finds them outside-

"Nope, they ran away in a straight line, we'll never
catch them"

Yes, there is something called "economic warfare". Which would include measures such as vandalizing their nodes.

Of course, with enough organization and manpower, you can actually ram their walls. (Defenders are usally in an advantage though, which is why it takes a far larger effort from the attacking side).

As for catching them: be prepared with more high quality water than they do.

I didn't say it would be easy ;).

If they notice that you are not retaliating, then they have no reason to stop using that tactic. Using the threat of mutually assured destruction, you can prevent several such attempts from happening.

Perhaps you find this form of warfare "boring", but my original intent was merely to point out that "huhuhu, let's stop this because it is griefing" is not enough reason.

this!?

Let um, it's what we've done so far, and it
seems to work so far
