Why not nerf animal object damage, is it such a big part of gameplay animals can ruin a small encampment?

That is fine, and animals destroying authority objects would be fine too, the only problem is when players can get animals to do this, when players can't destroy them without a ram on their own.

30 banners... 750 linen... 3750 fibres, destroyed in a matter of minutes. In normal gameplay it should take a ram to destroy each of them. And 30 banners is nothing. With this bug, if anyone decides to do it then a village can have no outer crossroads, and no claim (>50k authority) without even the effort of building a ram.

But what is the use of animals being able to break authority objects? Wouldnt it be a really easy fix to just make them unable to?

Yes, you'd think.

It's a bug/glitch

Jorb have stated that because of the ill coaded backbone of haven they cant change the soak value of houses. I would assume it goes along with statues and banners to. Suggestion like this was being discussed W6 along with the bugram but no response was given by the devs and I suspect its linked to the same old problem we are having, bad code that's under rewrite.

Issue with animals I suspect is more complexer to fix so I doubt Loftar will even look into the AI code of animals let alone attempt to fix the wild animal taim bug.

I find it a bit odd that they haven't found a good bandage solution for it though. Its a game breaking bug to say the least and was right there under the top 2 most requested bugfixes needed after bugrams. But oddly the only bug loftar seem to have focused the most on was the dossing caused by the 1 attack from one of the AD members. I guess its a bigger concern to him then fixing the everyday game mechanics.
