Tho I fully support this kind of projects, i don't know why does it need to be publicly announced that you are helping poeple with various things.

so that new players who have unfortunately only met dickheads learn that they are around to help, ofc.
some ppl get lucky and meet nice ppl as they start, but not all do. life is a bitch and you are a bitch.

There are many people who are already doing it and putting this on forums is just trying to show you like a white knight, so its not the help that you are offering that is priority but the announcement that you are doing so.

U can find tons of people who need help through forums and help them without bragging what you did

This is true, and I can see where you are coming with, re the "white knight" comment, however, these are not our intentions. I feel as a whole, in congress is a bloody and barbaric section, with almost nigh about things that matter, it's always "This faction beat this faction, Top PvP pros win here" etc and while that is half of what truely makes haven fantastic, it's not all that there is.

I feel that publicly announcing will not only bring new players/forumers to us, but will also give a light hearted thread in congress. As for the need for it to be publicly advertised, how are people meant to seek help if they don't know where to seek it? I agree there are many nice players out there, already this thread has some of them in here, commenting and offering assistance.

If there are tons of available avenues for me to advertise, without coming of pretentious and like we are seeking glory, please help me and PM the ways I can do so.

On the other side of everything you said, I would say announcing a project like this not only puts me and my group at more risk than glory

I have a very new village, aimed at allowing beginning players a safe place to learn and experience the game, it's not much and we are semi-selective due to space reasoning. I myself do not live in this village, it is run by a close friend of mine, who reviews all the candidates.

As for my experience, I can only say that I know enough, there is always something to learn ^^

I'm doing the same, preparing crate for newborns with some farming equip like hat, few seeds of q30 in seedbag , backpack - which is great for fresh start
I'm hermitting now on some medium q land, and I may move in a few weeks, maybe joining your village, because i like the idea of being nice and help beginners to enjoy the game ...

After re-reading this thread and trying to apply: I don't want to anymore. He is someone who just wants to be recognized as a good guy.

Flip side is 2 people pointed out that it is an alt account as well, so he might not be trying to be a white knight by disguising his true identity. None the less I think ramones is right and this is just so you come off in a good light.
