I think this is a big flaw in the game. Resource nodes should be more dynamic and ebb and flow over time. New resources should occasionally pop up and older nodes should decline; have boom towns that prosper then eventually dry up. Of course this would all have to be balanced for the effort needed to exploit the resource and protect it, but the static nature of resources is bad, and with alt claiming, causes an early rush to squat and find the best and leaves advantages early on that can never be competed against.

This is fine for protection but when it comes to actually taking offensive measure, unfortunately the solution is not always so simple as some people have so much time on their hands. Combine that with a collaboration of effort between a large number of players and eventually you have yourself a powerful faction. These powerful factions end up being assholes because there's always a few core players that put in most of the effort and coordination while others have much more free time to roam and do as they please.

These core players are the ones I blame for the current state of the game. They spend their days improving their village and quality and blah blah blah and for what? So their friends can go around raiding newbs who don't have nearly enough time as they do. Some people just enjoy that quality grind which is cool too and I have no qualms with that.

Also, age does not beget maturity. There are some very immature people that play this game.

I agree with this.

But then there are those villages like EM city where the efforts of said organizers don't end up feeding raiders or plunderers. Issue is that said type of gameplay is frowned on and often gets killed and exterminated leaving only the aggressive type behind. EM city must be one of unique villages that was left un-raided through W6.

The main problem is that jorb and loftar prefer to keep a blind eye towards this exact structure of gameplay and often end up balancing gameplay around this exact problem to fuel it even farther. The endgame of haven literally revolves around e-peening and greef tackticks. There are no strategy or balanced mechanics to create a realistic survival simulation or any other type of strategy. Its all about logging into haven and relieve your mental turd on everyone while at the same time as trying to dodge someone else trying to piss all over you.

In my opinion said OP should try and negotiate and get rid of these attackers or if negotiations break down literally join the "haven mentality" and pave the mountain.

Yeah. The struggle for resources is a bit chaotic on H&H. On the bright side, personal claims now decay. So at least in a few months into the game, the world won't be littered with them. That was very annoying in W6. Village claiming was a constant chore, just to pick up scrap resources.
