Having to modify how you use skype which can be used to contact people in many games/irl because of one game is kind of a pain.

In general I never read group chats like this, but I do think it's a good initiative.

Pretty sure they can only get your IP if you accept a voice chat with them which I doubt will come up in the chat.

This. The server is the middle man in regular text chats. You can't get someone's IP unless you directly connect to their machine, as in a voice chat. The only IP she would be hacking is the official Skype server(s).
