I will try to find another location and set another up:)

raidcall is for sure nothing i'd use...uses flash, connects you in a cloud, communication is not encrypted, worse than Skype and it's totally different from Teamspeak...

Great ideas Em, community projects are the one thing I wish there were more of and you are the ideal person to set these things in motion.
I'm happy to help with any building, paving, whatever - just skype me when you need any assistance. :)

Ox cart racing would be fun and the Beer garden is also a lovely idea.

As the deciding of a location is being deliberated, I suggest that projects that have a physical place in the Hearthlands be placed in relatively the same vicinity of other community projects.

Creating a geographical focal point will be what allows for the projects in the area, to create upon themselves, compounded importance and value.

Nesting the projects that make sense to be put together would allow a complete hub to not just something like trading, but to all other extensions of the community.

In an example, you might spend 99% of your travel fatigue at a crossroad to get to the transit hub, then from there, you may take as little as 10% travel fatigue to reach the Beer Garden & Ox Cart Race Track. Return to the transit hub, and take another 10% Travel fatigue to reach the Hearthlands arena. From there, take a brief stroll to the Xcom's Blood Maze entrance. Return to your Hearthfire to save yourself from being lost, then return back to the transit hub, smack down between all the community projects at another 99% travel fatigue. Welcome to Eemerald's Grand Central Terminal.

You won't need to make the activities at the center of the world, you'll just need to make the world center in on the activities.

yes that was the plan to try to do it all within a close distance. trade town was meant to have a minehole leading to the spar arena, the beer garden was going to be close to the sparring place, etc.

Feast area currently is near EC simply because it was initially going to be created just for EC people, but we decided to set separate idol and open it to others. and i'd rather not concentrate all community projects down that way. But we will try to locate a relatively empty part of the world to do projects in...it's just finding enough empty space to do so

Tbh would love a community place like that with a cute Ring of Brodgar and some player designed areas for different activities and a trading zone maybe :)

im all for developing something like that, if it's respected by the community. The resources are easily available, maybe more man/woman power to get it moving quicker, but we have everything we need, and others have showed support to helping providing things which maybe required.

I'm away for a week or so, so I wont have much to do anything ingame, but I will respond to anything on here- gotta love wifi on phones:D

If I must make a new character even for doing some menial, laborious tasks like plowing up ground for the paving of paths, I will do it. I, too, would happily take part!

that would be great, once i'm back i'll try to see how many are interested, and get some people together to do the annoying parts like pave and plow and chop trees and clearing out areas, etc before things are set up. I will keep people posted here
