I think Brodgar City is not bad idea. But it still has a lot of unsolved "things" ( safety, lack of trees and so on ) It's still everyone for himself. I lived in Brodgar in W6. It left me mixed feelings. Some people were very nice and friendly some griffers brought bears and boars to village just to pissed or kill our friends + a lot killing by other people and raids.

Anyways wish you luck and fun in W7 guys :)

Problem also might be lack of foraging sources, all Swamps & Mountains near Brodgar are fully leeched out.

If they're hardly even leeched out what's the problem?

Yolan, have you considered doing a tree plantation outside the city? Have it Brickwalled, 500x500, and have people rent logging rights, or buy logs directly from you. You can sell it by the log, by the gross, etc. That solves the issue of clear cutting, gives Brodgar an income to expand, and it helps create a new market. Someone else can always make another tree farm, or grow their own, to create competition.

I've been thinking and thinking about joining, and every time I think about it, thre is a raid going on or other problem. However, I think I'll just show up and work on afk-pushing to full nature and just spamming trees if people really want that. Could leave the logs somewhere everyone can get them, and if people want quality lumber for boards or blocks, I could do that, too, but it'll need a larger plot space to produce enough for all the palisades and such people will need. (Walking 30-60 minutes to get a tree is off-putting, too.)

I really hate to see this project die, and if this is one thing that will help people, I'll be glad to pitch in with this.

edit: would be a boon to me, too, as it'd give me something to do with my excess stuff from my hermitage.

I wouldn't bother. Anything unclaimed is grief. Hell, we've had griefers spawn alts with enough lp to buy vandalism. Had someone's stall outside his wall but claimed and it was destroyed. If Brodgar wants to come back everything needs to be replanned to deal with stuff like this.
