Is it trivial to adjust the decay timer of bodies based on LP, or based on if they were killed by a player?

Alternatively, would the pro's outweigh the cons if you changed all bodies decay timer to very short?

I am new to this game so I do not know if this has been suggested in the past or if my logic is flawed. What about just a cooldown timer on using a hearth secret to teleport to the hearth fire? During a new character creation, there would be a 24 hour RL timer before you may use the hearth secret and the timer resets after each use.

Unfortunately this would hamper friends starting the game all at the same time, but in my opinion, I do not see this happening often. I believe this to be the easiest solution to implement among the suggestions so far and has a good Benefit:Damage ratio.

Or how freshly spawned alts had access to AD village claim as soon as they got in a party with DIS? Or why one of the stolen characters was tracked to APXEOLOG's vault?
