Sometimes it's just impossible to get integrated into community when it has already established hierarchy system with sekrit klub circlejerks. Also white knights chasing Internet pussy is the worst thing imaginable.

It's not like that though Dzedajus, really, anyone who knows me will tell you that although I'm open and friendly, I do pretty much keep to myself in game, I don't ask my higher tier friends for anything, well, Jordan occasionally, mostly for advice though, and other than helping out new players that I come across or who pm me, I'm really a bit of a loner. I'm really not part of some hierarchy or sekrit klub - I've just been here awhile now and have made some friends. We all do don't we?

I was also new once you know and have had my fair share of unpleasantness and still get it now from some people, you can see that in this thread, it hasn't and isn't always plain sailing for me.

As for all this 'chasing Internet pussy' - I don't doubt that that goes on but honestly, in my experience, it just doesn't, lol, I've come across the odd 'strange' person, but on the whole the guys are just respectful and friendly. I don't think I give off any vibes that say differently tbh, I hope not anyway.

It's annoying to me that people are always saying how bad this community is and yet congress is filled with people asking for help and getting it, not just me, and now here is a thread showing again how lovely this community can be and yet it still manages to get trashed - you can never win!

I'm incredibly late to the party but I'm sorry that you got raided and I'm glad that there was support to help you recover Amanda!

I'm also a tad disappointed to see such a bastardization of the term 'white knight' being used. Initially when the term was slung around in this thread no one was white knighting, people were acting as a community to support and rebuild. You're allowed to have neighbors, allies, and friends that you're willing to help and receive help from. Amanda is an individual who quite definitely deserves any help she receives from friends. =)

While we usually agree on stuff, receiving help or being friendly doesn't seem to be the rule here Amanda. Back when I was having serious trouble with dying, I recall only four people offered some minimal support (and one actually killed me once he arrived). Lots of friends quit because of similar circumstances too. As I said before, it's meaningful that we have a thread for known griefers but none for known helpful and trusty people. At least this thread here will lighthouse to newbies that they can come to you for help.

And despite what those two other guys (forgot the names) said, it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the op being a woman or having high-tier friends. Proof of that is that a while ago a friend got lots of support - some guy no one had ever heard about and whom no one would have any special reason to help.

The point is: it's nice when it happens and it makes you wish to stay longer in the game, but it doesn't seem right to make new players expect they will get help from the community if things go bad for them.

This got me right in the feels.
