I grant you, yes, there is no game-wide rule that disallows the transferring of passwords, and in fact you have the below post from Jorb to defend your stance.

It's certainly not disallowed, but when I get a PM from the original registrant complaining that the account was stolen, well, don't blame me if justice happens.
However, you state yourself, that it is a "silly thing to do" admitting that whomever received the information, and directly served to exploit the account, did something silly.
Now, contrary to your point is this:

The fact that we may not act to actively police such behavior should not be misconstrued as acceptance of such transactions, and talking about it here will (or at least should) get your thread sent straight to Hel, and net you a suitable forum ban.
While it is unknown if Crf spitefully made a 'real money' profit in giving his account information, we do not know. However, we do know that "Only trades and transactions that are entirely within the scope of the game will be tolerated." The accounts themselves, that we use to log into this forum, and log onto our characters, are not themselves within the 'entire' scope of the game. We know this because accounts carry with them, real world information, namely e-mail addresses, and thereby are placed
outside the entire scope of the game.
Trading an account with this caveat in mind, that Seatribe owns all game data, that does not include your e-mail address, they cannot rightfully condone a "trade" of e-mail address + game data.

What this means in summation is that, while not wholesomely explicit, trading accounts is not an intended feature of Haven and Hearth, and therefore such an action, as we've seen in the thread, is an exploit.
Again, I'm not mad at AD. I am mad at the action. It was wrong on many levels aside from the reasons I provided above. I again want to say that I hope in the future that this sort of exploitation does not happen in the future.
I know, I know, crymore, evrytiem.
