So I was a couple hours into this character and I had finally managed to build myself a boat, right ? I take off and in a matter of seconds I find myself chased by two guys in boats. I stop to type my greetings, when suddenly they corner me and I start hearing thuds. At first I'm not sure what's happening; is someone chopping wood nearby ? Then it sinks in (get it) - they're hammering at my boat ! Since when is this even possible ?! I nope the fuck out of there but they're sticking to my arse. They tail me for another 5 minutes before I decide to land my ship and lift it up before hearthing. I'm too slow. One of the guys picks up my boat and happily sails away with it on his head. Again. How is that even POSSIBLE.
I'm too lazy to make another boat right away. I'm suspecting the culprits are the russian guys I spawned next to who called me gay and told me to fuck off. I guess I've learned my lesson; don't stop your boat unless you're somewhere safe. I imagine I can't logout while in my boat either since people will try to break it and I'll find myself drowning when I come back. Ah well.

Back in World 4, I was actually part of a small russian village and they were all very nice and fair - and most of the other russians I met were friendly. (Then again, I spawned near Sodom, so I had my share of death threats from them...)

If i recall correctly... you cannot log out in a boat
and log back in manually, however if you DC you
can come back and log on inside your boat.

If your boat is moved while you're logged off, you
will appear standing on the water as if you're jesus

Well... thanks for the tips, Nao. Boat mechanics seem to have changed since I last played, I lost another boat by logging out while lifting mine and thinking it'd disappear with me (turns out it didn't and someone helped themselves with it !). I guess that means I can't log out during long trips then ?
