June 13th

A bounty was placed on deadly russians of the
north?

(Seems like an important event... the first
step in the way of bringing justice to the north)

If i were to write about this world i'd deffinitely
write about the rise of Raider factions, and then
their fall as others band together to destroy them.
(where this seems to be headed)

Well, I for the most part want to leave real-world countries' names out of the entries.

And if you're referring to this thread it is archived and located in Hel. So, I'm not comfortable with using it at this time.

As for the whole Mirigod thread spam, I'm not entirely comfortable putting those in the timeline. I'm waiting to see if the Mirigod activities become organized and become more significant than run-of-the-mill raiding activities. However, when someone posts the death of the perpetrators, I'd be obligated to post that in the timeline due to this parameter I set up early on:

Vaku wrote:...death of a notorious bandit...

So on that note, I'm waiting for him to become properly notorious.

The reason I didn't put the beginnings of a person's notoriety as a significant event is because, I'm not going to celebrate the beginnings of immoral activities. The timeline is inherently biased towards good, order and justice, not anarchy and wanton manslaughter.

You expect to capture a world of HnH in a way
that will make it seem good, orderly, and just?

W1: Bad guys won
W2: Bad guys won
W3: Everyone said they won
W4: Everyone said they won
W5: Bad guys won
W6: Multiple evil factions claim they won, all
were murderous and bugusers/exploiters.
W7: Blood and gore across the north, a faction
seems to be rising to wipe out the Burning
Moscows/Mirigod or whatever they are.

Where is the good? They were wiped out. If you
want to write a history, you shouldn't be biased
towards good... But i guess that's what happens
in the real world, hide your country's ugly side
and talk of it's glory

The timeline isn't being written to be ignorant towards the existence of raiders, but to compel people to strive for being more than raiders. If it should come to pass that raiders wipe the floor with everyone, it will be noted in the entry that the Hearthlands didn't amount to anything spectacular, or civicly monolithic, but were always threatened in the tumultuous and never sound fear of death from every neighbor.

As it stands, this is the base, the raider and the nameless settlement and hermit. If anyone can organize themselves, for evil or good, they'll be noted. Until then, they'll be noted as insignificant and apart from the timeline. People determined to seek out the significance of someone who posts for every kill they make in a separate thread, are completely welcome to do so, but like I said, such threads and triumphs won't be celebrated here and make it to the cover page of history.

Edit:
And this,

NaoWhut wrote:W7: Blood and gore across the north, a faction

Moscows/Mirigod or whatever they are.

That's conjecture and I won't add it as an entry until it actually happens. If there does become some sort of alliance that strives to oust barbarians, that'd be stuck in there, but as of now, with the lack of politically oriented threads, I imagine many people are being isolationists. As of now a bounty doesn't suffice as "a faction rising" it's moreso something that should be posted after the strike force from that bounty succeeds at their job in rooting out the raiders.

Wow, the OP has some pretty ideals, I liked the idea of this before, but now that I see what it could bring and on what if focus, it seems way more interesting. I really wonder how this will look like once months passed. Really something cool to see.

Timeline updated with the Mirigod Killsquad. I know they began to gloat and used that name in this post on the 12th, but the link on the first page properly acknowledges their public appearance, and with the threads now consolidated, makes for an easier source, where people can just click "Pg 1" and read through it all if they're so inclined.

Yeah, I was reading that, but I wasn't sure how notorious CoCo really has been during this world. Mmmn, sure, I suppose I'll stick that in.
