Large Towns: Who are they? Tell the tales!

Given that the public map is out, I've been quickly scanning for large towns. Of course Brodgar at (108,-70) does not need to mentioned.

I've noticed six other big towns and any information that can enlighten me about who is there and why, etc, would be welcome.

The six towns are:

that ones york, allies of AD it seems.

One of the thicket towns is probably AD knowing how much they like to flex their plow bots in thickets.
