What happened at Targos?

Postby LostJustice » Sun Jun 30, 2013 3:48 am

I was random hearthing around by breaking my hearth fire and going around. I found the village of Targos and I saw murder scents and counted 5 dead bodies and 6 hearth fires. What happened at Targos? Are you guys dead or alive or does anyone else know?

What happens in Targos, stays in Targos.

I'm the lawspeaker of Targos. My friend's character was shot down twice in a row (he made the not-so-bright decision to walk out again with his inherited character to pick up his equipment) from outside the walls by a random person in a ranger cape and supposedly a ranger's bow. My friend claimed he was walking the entire time so the assailant was probably loaded with MM. To be honest I had stolen a few things here and there, not sure if that's the reason he attacked my friend, but I've given up criminal acts and my friends are completely innocent. I wish the attacker had given me an honorable fight considering I had committed some crimes in the area instead of shooting down my friend who was just walking out to check the chicken coop. :P I tracked the scents and they lead far north, hopefully whatever the reason we were attacked is set aside so we can move on peacefully. If the attacker sees this thread I'd like him to contact me so we can sort out whatever the problem is.

That is what I figured happened since I saw the scents. Do you guys still live there?

There's probably a high chance that whoever killed you didn't even have scents on you and just killed your friend for the fun. That or they just used theft scents as an excuse to kill you. Unless you're stealing pearls or things of actual worth, adjudicators probably wouldn't kill you for it, especially not without talking it out first.

You should probably just pick up and leave. You won't be able to get combat skills up high enough to deal with the raiders if you stick around where they raided you and let them range you down over and over again.

We've got it under control, my friend was just being a bit careless and it was a 1-time thing. And I totally agree, my theft was petty, only a bar of tin and a couple of bear hides. I've decided theft isn't really worth it, plus there's always the guilt.
