How about instead of turning Congress Assembled into our own personal blog we use the Brodgar skype chat or the current active Brodgar thread already in use to address any of these issues.
We also have a strict policy of plot sizes, there shouldn't be any exemptions or allowances in regards to this and the LS or Cheif should declaim the plot and if necessary a ram be built to enforce those policies. If you want a bigger plot go find a place that isn't in the city, there is a whole wide world out there ya know.

I don't find this thread to be redundant. In fact, if proposals could be drawn out in detail and motions here made into law, or amended, the thread could serve the focused and important role of informing visitors to Brodgar and its residents the behavior that is expected. This thread is a better place to discuss law while the other thread, which in its current incarnation is better for explaining the very general happenings of Brodgar, as we've seen in the past.

These are some of the examples of posts that would fit in the other thread, but not here:

I understand that this thread serves a specialized role, and the importance of topics within will be diminished by being merged into the other thread.

I don't know, I prefer threads like this over threads like "y steal my stuff. Can I ask, Why?" or "lelelelele RandomForumPerson DOWNED. U mad nab"

Sorry I have to agree with him. You may be a big village but seriously you do not need these many threads in Congress Assembled. Use your old thread that does address issues or make your own website. I really do not want to see Congress Assembled turn into Brodgar Assembled.

The solution to this is for other groups to become active on the forums. Brodgar cannot be faulted for efforts towards communication when other large groups remain silent.

This subforum is about "discussing in game politics, village relations and matters of justice." (Subforum description)

It is undue for them to seek an alternate forum to discuss in-game politics.

You missed the point, they already have a thread. Making two threads for the same reasons is redundant.

Seems some clarifications and background thoughts are in order here.

The general idea in my mind behind/for this topic is more as a specific message board.
The main targets on my mind here are.

- A general help for me in keeping my plot-map alive/updated. (Running around Brodgar to see what has changed is not something I do regular. Having a topic where Brodgar players can drop plot related changes will, in my view, be helpful.)
Possible plus side if it works. Is that I think it becomes easier to keep track of plot occupation and vacancies.

- In addition, dealing with (possible) abandoned plots is something I think is better done sooner than later. Lowering the risk of Brodgar slipping into a big, but mostly unused, plot collection.
Possible plus side if it works. Is the Brodgar might feel more alive in general. And that might boost its active player count.

- The general litter message collector (which fits nicely into this topic). Is to keep Brodgar streets from cluttering up with junk. (Something I like to do, and have been doing. But, as I already stated, I don't run around Brodgar on a regular basis.)
Possible plus side if it works. ... A clean Brodger. ;)

So this topic is more intended as a message(short one's) board for posting/collection specific Brodgar stuff. And that only works if its not also used for other, more lengthy stuff, like discussions. (that's also why I think a Brodgar's main Skype channel is not the right place for something like this.)

To bypass possible discussions on specific plots that brake some rule. I have deliberately not included the option to make plot complains. That, and the fact that I'm not the one that makes, nor enforces, those kind of decisions.

If this topic fails ... I't probably not going to be because the topics intended context. But its of-topic content.
Probably should have added "PostBox" to the topic tittle somewhere. ;)
