Probably because none cared.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Please note that I have never seen nor heard of Vandoria, and this story is Fiction.

One day, in the beautiful Hearth Lands, a little Hearthling by the Name of Vandoria spawned in. She was a courageous little Hearthling, for although she was not able to raise to the top, she worked very hard each and every day to shape a village of Beauty and Prosperity.
Each day and night, she worked long and hard to achieve her dream. She was able to make a beautiful farm, and a nice little house to call home. Along the way, she learned many new ways and skills to survive in the world. She made a Fence, and then soon upgraded to a palisade. After some time though, Vandoria started to feel lonely. She started to realize an important truth.
She was alone in the world.

Fearing the loneliness, she started travelling far and wide for a nice companion to live with, and take back to her beautiful home, but when she met people, what she found was not a friend, but a foe. She quickly went home before she though they would see her, but she was wrong. These special people in this yellow helmet not only were strong, but they were smart too. They used this special Item that let them see in the dark, Find thing just by a look on their map, find things hidden behind trees and rocks, and worse yet, see things far away. Vandoria was quickly visited by these yellow Helmeted people and was killed mercilessly. Her Beautiful Home was crunched and destroyed like a little withering leaf during the fall.

Vandoria, still being the Courageous hearthling she was, looked everywhere to find a new home. She found many places like the Tavern full of Dwarves and Thieves, or a large open city by the name of Brodgar. But she found none that would seem trustworthy enough. So she decided to become a trustworthy person herself. She once again tried making a nice and suitable home, but this time, she was prepared. She quickly made up a Brickwall, Set up a Large Idol so that her Home officially becomes a Village. And so she went back to this Tavern, and asked others to join her, in making a Beautiful home that they can not only be proud of, but also become a shelter for those like Vandoria who tried their best to live in this world.

After time, Vandoria's Village decided on a name. It was to be called "A Beautiful Dream" For it was most definitely like a dream. It was a beautiful place and village. Many people walked it's land, and it Held it's head high no matter what attacked. It became bigger and bigger, and became popular, but popularity did not come alone. It came with many more dangers. Like the rumours she heard of these places called Ainran, or AD. She thought it was best to stay hidden, away from this chaos, so that her village may keep growing.

Vandoria was not able to control the rumours though. Soon, "A Beautiful Dream" had daily visits, and these visits became attacks, and eventually it became a siege. "A Beautiful Dream " Plummeted to the ground. Vandoria's worst fear became true. Her beautiful new home, was being destroyed. Out of sadness and grief, she left the Hearthlands, but when she left, a part of her stayed. Her Heart, her Courage, her Dream. A Beautiful hope still stayed. And so many of those who lived, continued her dream.

The village was destroyed, but soon rebuilt. It was named after the courageous hearthling, "Vandoria." But these survivors were not as great as Vandoria herself. And did not become popular. They lived for a short time, but the ruins of the dream this courageous hearthling had still stands today. In the land that was once very Beautiful and prosperous and now is found by the name, "Vandoria."

The End.

It stated out with a few people living close together, and each day they would get something new done until the outer wall was finished. The leader Genusis would recruit people who walked by and I mean any living character. It soon got to the point of over population and we had to expand. Then we got access to metals and one selfish player named torvic would go out and get things for himself like metals and curios and wouldn't share for the newer guys. We got fed up with it and gen finally declaimed torvics plot and we raided. After that everyone split up and genusis commited suicide and torvic quit.
THE END

Lol, Imagination is mostly better than the truth, because you can make/ do anything in your imagination. ;)
