I figure I should ask here...

Postby LonerNoob » Wed Aug 21, 2013 7:21 pm

...Should I consider having a random naked noob outside our palisade just wandering about without talking an attempt to spy?

If so, what should I do, considering we're peaceful?

I mean, we still don't have crossroads and thus can't simply leave and enter whenever with him outside.

But I'd like of course to settle this in a peaceful way.

Well, he spawned next to a HF which was outside our place, so I can't tell if he spawned in that person's HS, or if he spawned randomly :|

That's sort of why I worry of spies. The HF outside was from someone who spawned before we got pali, and said he found the place unsafe so he wasn't going to join. He hasn't logged on since, too.

Always assume the worst, its permadeath after all. I personally always spawn an alt and lure a boar or bear close ;D No scents, still solved the problem.

if its next to another hf assume the worst cause they are either a spy or very unlucky, neither you want near you.

Put a claim outside and destroy those hearthfires with the best axe you can get.
Hearthlings: Marona; Chamberlain (retainer alt), Vincavec (shaman of the Dryad Wells Forest)

If he spawned using the HS of the HF that was already there, then claim it and destroy it, it's very easy, there's no soak.
Edit: then again, he can spawn again so nevermind this... Just try to destroy both.

A q1 stone axe and a q500 stone axe would provide the same benefit. Any old q10 stone axe will do for breaking a hearth fire. =)

q10? hah my miner would still produce q5 stone axes so get out of here with your fancy q10 axes.
