To the city of Daventry

I am a new player, and I am setting my camp near your city.
I mean no trouble, I just want to live in peace and build a little place for myself and anyone who might want to join me.
I am not looking to join your ranks, I was wondering if we could establish a friendly relationship.
I have placed a rune with my greetings near your entrance.
I hope this is the beginning of a long lasting friendship!

Fair warning. Generally in Haven building next to someone else's town is a death sentence. The world is MASSIVE and entirely ringed with almost empty expansion supergrids. best that you find a nice spot for yourself far away from anyone else's town.

Thanks for the advice, I am aware of this by now (been reading a bit of the world's history).
However I have found myself a very nice spot, it seems very safe and it's not that close to the city... so I shouldn't be bothering them.
Also I might be a noob but I have claimed this small piece of land and I will stand for it.

Not to be too rude about it but if you just started out they will break your legs and make you kneel for them, rather.

If they are hostile, ofcourse! Also a select few cities who dont mind newbies in their area.

More power to you... I wipe out anyone trying to settle within....20ish mini-maps of my town. Hope they are more accommodating than I am.

One pro point he would have got from me when settling near is giving informations - nothings worse than just dumb place yourself next to a village without trying to contact ...

I live semi near this area and i have been around Daventry a few times, ive never noticed anyone around there but it is a pretty recent village claim. Ive also not noticed many scents in that area, i live on a large island and i have welcomed several new players into the surrounding area, not everyone is antisocial!

who likes foraging? newbies*

i love nearby newbies, its way easier to sell them stuff than actually boat around, if your village has any halfway-decent industry.

Yeah I really like having barter stands outside selling basic tools and metal bars for foragables, and especially fish.
