Punishing the wrong guy

Postby graecorum » Thu Sep 19, 2013 4:29 pm

I've never stolen anything, I have never killed or attacked.I did not leave the walls since the first time i was raided. All, what I wanted - just farm and take care of animals. I live alone. And it was a pleasure - to start my village from nothing by my own hands. when I was raided first time - I smiled, broken palisade and stolen chiken - was not a great damage. But today someone came to my place, killed all my animals, stole all he could and destroyed all. Now I lost everything, lost all stuff, lost my sense of peaceful and calm life, the meaning of life in game.
I have no one to help me, I dont know who were they and why they did it to me. all, what they left - runestone "stop vandalling our water", but how could I, if I never leave my walls, never leave scents, havent this skill? someone's mistake crush my Village. and now I just dont know what to do.

Do you have Ranging skill? Can you track scents? Do you know your Coords on Worldmap? (Don't post them here!)

Having been through this myself this world I know how you feel, theft is one thing but when everything gets destroyed it's a lot harder to recover from.
I decided to make a stand and rebuilt. At first it was slowly because I was still under threat and had lost motivation but as things began to take shape again I felt better. I was able to re-arrange some things built in haste and correct mistakes from the first time around and gradualy managed to find some positives out of a seemingly negative situation.

I'm not advocating this to everyone, if you feel you will be targeted again it may be best to just move to a new location, as your base has been destroyed you will be starting from scratch anyway. Take a day off from hnh and decide what is best for you.

If you know your co-ords you can send me them via pm and if I am able to help in any way I will gladly do so, I can promise you that I am completely trustworthy, I just know from experience it's easier to recover with some help and support whichever direction you decide to go in.

Best of luck to you and you are not alone. :)

Thank you for supporting, its really nice to read.
I know my coordinates, I can see every scent, that they left, more that that - I know now who are they and where are they live. Funny, this is the village, that raided me the first time. Then they limited abduction chicken :)
I know that would be better to move from this place, and I actually thought about that.
unfortunately, now there is no safety place anymore and all, what I can - try to make my place as safer as it is possible.
But all, what I want to - be sure, that people, who lives around will stop raid without reasons.

Being peacefull doesn't mean you shouldn't defend yourself when someone tries to take your life.

And consider Emerald's offer, you have not played this game until you've been part of a village.
