My thoughts on the "big boys"

Postby Pusstallion » Wed Oct 02, 2013 2:06 am

Let me simply start by saying.
Look at the amount of people playing. 200-300. Doesn't sound like a lot.

A large proportion of this is because of the big boy botters, basement dwellers. These guys bot the night, then look around for villages to destroy. My village hasn't even been attacked yet, but I know that I'm going to leave this game if such people are going to walk around, ruining the fun of others.

I'm a peaceful player, you've never heard me post because I never cared about the drama. If I remember the point of this game was to build a village/town by starting in the woods in Germany and create a successful city.

I can see why others bot in other games, but here, why? Get a few resources to go on the forums and talk shit? Then you go ahead and ruin the fun of others who joined this game because it was a rts/builder? There shouldn't be any bloodshed unless it's from the animals.

So yea, if the same bs here keeps on happening, then my friends and I will plan to leave. Then another village will leave. Then goes the domino theory. Then you can bot the whole world. Enjoy~

If there wasn't meant to be any bloodshed from anything but animals then why is there a combat system? If your mad about boting A-Get over it and keep playing B-Start boting yourself to keep up with "big boys" C-Just leave and quit posting useless threads on forums.
Check me out on Twitch! I stream many different games and it may seem my channel is inactive but that is because I am now restarting streaming! (Click the image :D)

Sir! For the love of God PLEASE don't take your buddies and leave! Truly the game would go into a tailspin that it couldn't return from! Fellow forum goes, truly you must help me to convince ....whomever this is to stay and continue his building of a city in Germany lest we are all lost!!!!!

bots ruin every game they touch

On the subject of bloodshed, it's a necessary evil.
Guy comes and smashes your favorite urn? what are you gunna do, CAPS LOCK rage at him? Nah you're gunna go stuff him with a sword. Going around murdering people for fun is obviously a dick move but it's something you have to put up with when you let kids and losers express their online inhibition effect.

Im inclined to somewhat agree with saxony, murder is a necessary evil.
wiyhout it this game would be very boring since there would be no reason to protect one self and it would all be farm ville.

whatsthe point of grinding stats if u cant use em, ey? +killing noobs is a good way to tech em a lesson of the game ;)

I love when people say this. Its a sandbox game, if stuff wasn't meant to be smashable and players weren't meant to be killable they wouldn't be. There's also not enough late game content to sustain interest in the game, which could be used as an explanation for the number of players. Botting is a result of poorly designed mechanics that encourage bulk production of everything and most the players I know who bot, do so in order to enjoy the content they do enjoy instead of having to focus all their time on content they do not enjoy.
