Going off "standard" pricing, 25pts/stone probably isn't unreasonable. (2 stones = 1 pearl).

actually, i think a pearl is sort of reasonable for 2. people charge MUCH more for axes, so..

I agree with pearl for two price.

pain, owning such node gives you quite advantage in crafting axes and stuff, at least until some q50+ rocks will be found on L5 mining. So price now can be higher.

I've gotten my hands on 11 stones, all q70. I've also got mountains of stones of qualities lower than that, beginning at q69.

The guy has a functionally endless supply and although i think he should be compensated for a somewhat valuable resource it's probably not much better than what you yourself could find if you just dig around on your local mountain. if he only had dsay...three Qual 70ish stones he got off someone he killed i could see wanting something as valuable as a pearl but with an endless supply? nah.

him saying mountains of stones could be interpreted 2 ways. either he has many stones q69 and under or he owns a mountain with that stone. either way, i dont find the price to be a bad one. if he owns a mountain with the stone and is willing to trade, i say all the more to him. besides, i think anyone else would want to do the same thing

This isn't the case. I was mining a stone node inside a cave. I've already removed the highest portion of the node, which was 1 tile. That tile is where I got the q70 stones from, and it's gone now.

I certainly should have chosen a better word to describe the amount of stones I've got. "Horde", perhaps. Anyway, your first theory is correct. The highest stones I've managed to find via mountains have been high 30's.
