Not that popular nowadays. Many accept gold for 50 pts per nug, but they don't sell it for same price, goes up to 65/75 per nug, tho it depends from buyers, so 50 per nug isn't bad way to start buying.

in my opinion gold should cost more than 50 pts, cuz nowadays it's impossible to mine without mine supports, which makes the process of finding gold more difficult.

Its all about the demand and supply of the current market and since there are not many gold sellers, people can afford to have higher price, thats all. Its not greed, its how market works

Mining with supports is just as safe as it's always been, and trolls are much, much more dangerous.
