With my claim now becoming a village I look around and notice that I have a lot of space all around me. Space that can become quite a large village if I can bring like minded people together. As of this point in time the main city is for my little brother and I and the mine we have is expansive enough that with the area we have walled off with our smelters etc and down to layer 3 we can easily let others use it and never need to worry. With all of that said let me tell you what we can bring as a village you may or may not be looking for:
Knight Crew was founded on honor and hard work. We take very few shortcuts besides taking over an abandoned village that we could use to establish ourselves faster. If we had not found this place it would have been built from the ground up. But after having been murdered and having to start over for a third time I took one single short cut that lead from me being a simple hermit to now attempting to start this village.
Solitude. We are so far in a certain direction that in over a week here I have seen 4 people. 2 of which I invited up to help me. But this helps us in our goal of a peaceful existence.
Safety. Currently the main city is walled in with brick. The area new people will be in have no walls what so ever but that will change very soon as I continue to get the metal need, as of writing this I only need 54 more wrought iron and 23 more steel, to build a brick wall to secure the city.
Community. Knight Crew was founded on the notion of community. We are all to work together and anyone that gets let in that shows they are not part of the community will be booted immediately. This may sound like we are not fully community orientated as the "We have a wall and you won't" thing sounds but I am working many hours a day getting the metal to give us a safe place to live asap. We may be right on a river but it is so nice and peaceful here that I fell asleep while fishing and woke up two hours later full of fish and not a single message in area chat etc.
Room to learn and grow. New to H&H? I can't teach you everything as I do not know everything myself but I can teach you what I can. Veteran to H&H? If you want to teach us we will listen. Have an area in the city that is yours and want a bit of wiggle room? As long as we are not filled to the brim we can work something out and even then we will work to get a ram up to take out a wall part and expand it to give you more room.
We will accept anyone who applies as long as they follow some simple steps and rules. Also we are a US based village in the PST time zone but I can be found online multiple hours a day almost every day.
Step 1 The rules. Read these before applying.
1. You may play as you see fit. I am not here to slap your hand and say bad dog no. I will treat you with the respect a person deserves. Do the same to me and others in the village and you can do whatever you want as long as no drama comes back at Knight Crew.
2. With rule 1 if you go raid you better be good at not leaving scents. If you get killed we will not defend you. We will not risk our necks for something you decided to do. Sounds cut throat but we air on the cautious, we work for what we have, part of H&H. But if you want to go destroy someones base or go murdering you may not be the best fit for KC. Fair warning. We are not raiders we are defenders. We will defend what we have to the best of our ability.
3. Work with the village if you need to or it is asked of you. What I mean by this is we are here to help you. If you need something and we can give it we will. So please be willing to do the same. If you are about to pass out we understand but if your waiting for something to do give us a hand.
4.You are free to build a palisade/brickwall around any house you build but I will need a copy of the key so that if you leave or lose it or die or anything we can get you in or reuse the space.
5. 99% of everything in H&H is easily replaceable that does not give you the right to steal from anyone in the village. If you are found acting against a village member you will be asked to leave. We take all claims seriously but we will not act without proof and you will be given a fair chance. IE if someone says you stole something but you say he said you can have it will go to vote. Any evidence you have (logs etc) will be looked at. If we vote you out you will go if we vote you safe you will stay. Simple as that.
6. Things that will get you removed from the village: Working against a village member. Helping someone/s to break into the village. Letting a raider into the village. Murdering a village member. You get the picture. Outside the village you can steal and murder all you want. But I refer you to rule 2.
Step 2 The Application. Please just fill this out and either put it in a reply or a PM to me. But keep in mind we will try to look you up on the forums etc first. We will not take 0 post accounts or people who have bad reputations. We are a friendly village and wish to remain that way.
1. Age?
2. How long have you been a part of H&H?
3. About how active do you see yourself being?
4.Native Language?
5.Why join KC?
6.What can you bring to KC?
7. Will you be bringing only one character or multiples? If multiples what all skills can you fill?(smithing, farming etc)
8.Do you use Skype?
Step 3. The chat. I like to chat with all people who put in an application. If you have Skype we will chat there if not we will PM back and forth. I want to get an Idea of the person I am looking to trust with my village beyond seeing what else you posted.
Step 4. The wait. My brother and I will vote on all applicants that get this far. As said we want people we can trust with keys to the outer gates. People we don't need to watch like hawks and will benefit us.
That's it. I know this post is long but it is a massive undertaking for me to open the gates to the city to allow people in and I want to make my point clear. The motto of Knight Crew is simple. With the sweat of our brows we will rise to great heights. With hard work and a good community we can expand ever reaching towards the sky in hopes of having a home we can all be proud of.
