Public announcement
We are currently having a management problem in the city. New villagers can't be oathed, and there is no LS effort against the repeated internal griefing we suffered three weeks ago. Both facts are hindering community progress. Many of our good people have given up the city because of that situation and founded their own villages elsewhere.
Nevertheless, the city is still open and there still are a few who believe in it. And we like NB and want to return it to what is was once. So I, at least, have given myself the right to fix things my way.
- Now there is an annex district in the Southern part of town. New and unoathed players can remain there while they are in the oathing limbo and don't have permission to enter the village claim. There is some public stuff there, and new players can at least farm, craft things and have some fun with the ever-spawning animals close by. The annex consist in small plots with the basics for the newbies, and is open for public use (at least for farming).
- Zero tolerance for trolls and griefers. Scents are being tracked rigorously by sociopathic rangers. Robben said trolling is punishable by death, we're just enforcing that law. Rightful kills and their motives can be found at the graveyard.
- Unused plot claims have been destroyed and are open for the taking, as have most of the nameless hfs around. Seriously, some plots were inactive for more than two months.
- Town valuables have been spread into different locations in Haven so that we can rebuild quickly in case of a massive raid.
- Now city regions have names for better localization. The simplified map is on the ground of the keep, divided in 9 districts: in clockwise order: clay, north farm, the mine, poppy, moor, south farm, marsh, spawnland. Please use these to locate crimes and animal spawns from now on.
In short: new players are very welcome and desirable. Just be aware that some weeks might pass until you're oathed and get full access to the inner city. Even so, we're working to make your stay a pleasant experience before that time.
Yours omnipresent,
New Brodgar Intelligence Service
