Then some people decided to kill me. All three of them were in the village. I know this because they knew who i was. This is a post to Snacky saying that i am innocent and would never steal from any one in the village because up until now they have all been nice to me.

;-(

For the record, Snacky (and I for that matter) are against this kind of vigilantism.

The loots are shit, there's no fun because they're nabby, but the justice is enjoyable.

Latest map of Brodgar. And the growing continues. Players are continuing to expand roads out to the woodlands which is nice.

We may do a private census of some kind in a few months once we have expanded village influence some more, and find out what core plots are abandoned. Then declaim them, and pali bash some gates.

Brodgar sounds kinda interesting, with a lot of ppl to talk and work together. I've been playing the first 2 weeks as a hermit and now Im living in a town that got raiders coming and murdering everyday. I know is a open land and raiders probably wouldnt come to a big open city due to soldiers, but I wanna know if you have caves next there or mine holes because I want to make brick walls. Also I want to know if there is any way to teleport my current character to Brodgar; making a new one would get so much time that I'd prefer spending on building my houses and etc.

One question: is this town dead? I havent seen anyone for few hours, and with all those claims and houses, is hard to believe that Im not living is a ghost town. Trees seems to be the needest resource there.

Brodgar has fallen on hard times. Trees are scarce, growth and security is limited for the novice immigrant. The population was dense at one point, though right now there is a husk of a city. Lots of strong personalities have been silenced for one reason or another. The most easily tracked is a loss of passion through death as seen on Brodgar's Congress thread. If you parse the posts back a few pages you can see that Brodgar was making plenty of progress, and as Snackish had put it at one point,

For me, I'm having to balance a dozen things before I get ingame to be able to help out restoring Brodgar. So for now, with people getting pushed around as easily as they do, people being rather occupied with life outside of HnH, and no clear solutions in place, you'll be hard pressed to find many people roaming the streets. A dead town is not far from the truth as this place can still be resuscitated.

Best of luck, Xchain.

Pls stop saying, that Brodgar has been raided a lot. Its definitelly not true. I know only about 2 or 3 "raids" in Brodgar history. Raid isnt, when someone is staying permanently afk for hours outside and sniper kill him. Raid isnt, when bunch of naked alts get killed, because they have to look closer (and usually provoke) at those 2 strangers with sword walking around the town. It can happens in every village in the world, when someone is ignoring safety rules. And when someone came to Brodgar, left scents and got killed, its his own fault.

Brodgar looks empty, because its big city with a lot of plots. A lot of people started there, but left the game, or have made settlements outside Brodgar. Server population is not so big like from start and big city like Brodgar shows it perfectly. How many abandoned villages or hermitages can you find on map ? I guess a lot, but not much people know about it and not much people care. Only end of big villages come on forum. Brodgar on other side is well known and probably the biggest. So its logical, that looks empty. And one more thing. Brodgar is bunch of individual plots. People are usually working at their plots, or are outside foraging, somewhere in caves mining, etc. Why they should walk along the streets ? When i need something, or want trade something, i usually use village keep (port to village idol). Then port back home.

Pretty much this. Most plots in Brodgar are abandoned, but there are so many bloody plots that there are still lots of active people. There are also groups of people who have shifted to other settlements in the area but remained village members, porting in for trade etc. Your best bet is to get on Skype and join village chat.
