It's glaringly obvious that I was being facetious about teaching any sort of lesson.

Regardless, the main reason I want to join a village is because otherwise I'd simply be bored out of my mind with this game and it's no fun playing alone. I can probably stand up to a solitary raider, but definitely not two or more, and once I die in this game I'll feel like I achieved nothing. I'm relatively close to Bellatoris and I've seen their borders before, and it seems that they have their stuff together anyhow, so I figured it'd be worth a shot.

Also, my melee is at 100 now.

I attest to the fact that Seldon is an untrustworthy hearthling whose only intention is to gain security from being with a village. That noob he sealed in didn't live so far from him, actually. A mere 7 minute boat ride away if not less. So much for being "friendly" to his neighbours. His claim was surrounded with corpses and most murder scents of noob camps generally point towards his claim; I've never bothered checking whether he was the one who actually committed it. He's clearly the type of person who enjoys being a prick with little sense of self-worth.

I'm acquainted to him because he tried to murder me on my second day with my third character that started without inheriting. The most intimidating part of my attire was my fucking sprucecap hat. As a matter of fact, I caught him harassing the noob he eventually sealed in. Turns out that his harassment is long-term; clearly not "just a lesson" as he tries to assure you. Clearly he enjoys the suffering he sows in fledgling hearthlings who cannot stand up against an established player.

Unfortunately I received the news of his raid. Karma's a bitch; had it coming.

tl;dr: Don't recruit this fuckface.

He has relocated no more than 24 hours ago. However, his old claim -- the one that's currently under seige -- is at (-67,-2). I ran through what little was left; He has already move most if not everything of value. Except his crops. However useful they can be. I doubt he has gone far from this location. The road leads to a friend of his; the one whose mistake caused this whole mess. The raiders used his friend's unsealed palisade corners to build an isolated area with a battering ram.

Well I see this isn't going anywhere, so I might as well withdraw my request.

Oh, it's you. I thought you said you wouldn't deign to slandering me on the forums in order to exact your pathetic excuse for revenge, but I guess I really shouldn't have expected better. You pathetic worm.

I don't need the security of a village. I can relocate just as easily and without much difficulty, considering that neither you nor anyone else really has any idea where I am right now. I would prefer joining a village because I would rather be in an organized community of competent players rather than living around a bunch of new players who'll either just get killed or whom I can't trust because of their parasitic nature. Or people like you.

A person who lives "seven minutes away" from you is not your neighbor. Anyway, it takes longer than that, and I rarely go down that path anyway.

OF FRIENDS WHO GOT KILLED, ASSHOLE.

Invoking "karma" or other such delusional concepts in a pathetic attempt at validating your perceived moral superiority is the most shamelessly self-righteous thing anyone can do. Especially because you yourself are not much better even by your own contemptible standards, seeing as you wouldn't even drop a fucking in-game grudge after an abortive attempt to kill you for being the smug asshole you are.

These raiders would have driven me out anyway regardless of what I did, so take your precious karma and shove it up your ass.

tl;dr: Don't recruit this fuckface.

Because I tried to kill you and you're mad? Boo hoo hoo.

It's telling how you are willing to compromise the location of a person who is more or less innocent of anything in order to give me my comeuppance. Hypocrite.

Right, so Arcanist just killed me. Took a bloody long time doing it, too. By the way he was wandering around I figured he was just some clueless dude from my island who happened to stumble upon a necro cape, since I gave a few away a while back. I came back to my new claim to collect scents and he jumped me. I didn't think he would actually go out of his way to kill me, and I don't really care about his reasons for doing so. This is little better than oathkilling, but at least he could pretend it was a fair fight. Regardless, if this was for all the people I've killed or stolen from or humiliated in various ways, I hope he has warm fuzzy feelings inside for being a hero or whatever.

Anyway, to any prospective recruits out there, this is what I get for trying to open up to him, so be wary, this guy is probably less trustworthy than I am.

To be honest, I feel liberated of this timesink. I was starting to get tired of this game anyway, as I was reaching the limit of what one could possibly do as a (mostly) solitary hermit—which was my motivation for joining a village in the first place. At least I have enough grace to leave it without being like this vindictive asshole over here.

Well actually I was just wandering around forraging rustroot, and saw a heap of scents across a few newbie's claims, so I decided to track some of the scents to a perp that was online. Turns out it was you, I had no idea that was where you live, nobody gave me coords or anything. Apart from your posts on this thread, and the ingame event 20 minutes or so ago, I've never talked or corresponded with you in any way, hardly anything close to an oath kill.

Next time try... oh? there won't be a next time? Judging from your posts on the forum, good riddance.

Karma's a bitch.

EDIT: sorry about taking so long... while you were KO'd I seemed to be only doing 30 damage with punch. I should've dropped the rustroot and used my sword. That's the only part I regret. I got 7 rustroot btw.

EDIT2: oh, I see now there are rough co-ordinates to your place in this thread. Well anyway, i was just forraging and saw scents with an online perp. Nothing more to it.

I believe you brought this down fully on yourself through your actions and I am not talking about Karma either. You proclaim that no one would be able to find you but you left plenty of scents for a ranger to come to track you down. In fact, I think your boasting on wall blocking a newbie, your proclamation that you cannot be found can be interpreted as a challenge in which you failed one up. But the biggest mistake is being so liberal on your scent making and not having anything secure. This is why Arcanist was able to kill you since you were out in the open to be tracked since you "don't need the security of a village" and you "can relocate just as easily and without much difficulty so that no one else really has any idea where you are.

In a crude summary, you left a bear-sized bullseye on your ass and invited someone to penetrate it.

I just needed 10 leather for the palisade and I didn't want to wait for it, ffs. Most of the shit the newbies had was mine anyway, seeing as I pretty much gave away or abandoned most of my stuff at my old claim to them in the first place.

I seriously doubt you weren't looking for me. It's pretty improbable as is to have bumped into you by chance, and if you've foraged in the area before (which you likely already have) you probably already knew where my old place was anyway. Even if you somehow didn't, asking for my location in-game clearly betrays your intent—why else would you need to know? Also, you seemed pretty intent on killing me since you wouldn't even spare a moment to talk or even explain your reasons for doing so.
