Thats like telling someone that works at McDonalds that they're better off farming their own wheat, processing it,making it into bread, herding cattle, butcher it, grow tomatoes and pickles than asking his employer to give him a 99c cheese burger for his work because that's too much of an expense to others. Who even understands the purpose of a village here? I offered to join the top 3 villages , which by its position one can assume has players that can easily amass large quantities of food without effort, hell, carrots grow like wildfire. If you told me "hold up there we aint giving you a Q100 Battle axe and pearl curious until you show your worth" thats understandable, but saying its too much to ask for food is incredibly petty. I cant walk 10 feet on my newbie character without stumbling over half a dozen rabbits , or herds of chicken running up to my feet , looking me in the eye and whispering "eat me". "Id love to, chicken" but all my cupboards are full and im overweight now, self conscious and walking at a turtle pace. Whos really starving in HnH? Id like to know, you can come take safe refugee at my hermit paradise I set up 1 day ago thats overflowing with food, we'll refresh you with some q10 water, the most delicious rabbit meat this side of the Serengeti, and here have a few dragonflies , on the house, I know times are tough.
In any case, it was a "take it or leave it" offer. people can act like Im asking too much but its their loss. It was nice to get a perspective of what village leaders and active members consider important and valuable. Now off on my way. Ill keep you guys updated on my progress.

Still agree with Amanda, when considering the top end of the game when youre dealing with high quality material. At least if you miss the steel timer you can try again, The silkworm just perish.

Players make this same proposal you did, and after they get in the village they disagree with LS policy, or have arguments with other villagers, or get raided, or a huge number of reasons, or simply get bored and quit, or move, or betray, and the whole village investment goes down the drain meanwhile the player has grown at its expenses.
I, for one, used to gear up in silk our new villagers, just got tired of feeling that I was asked to provide and after got not even a thank you in return.
I agree with you, you're the only one that gave a very valid and logical argument against my offer. but from my stand point I wanted to let my loyalty speak for itself (thought thats a little too much to ask on the internet), and be a reward to whoever accepted . Although at this point it doesn't matter, I already started my camp.
