I totally admire what you want to do. i think that social aspect of the game is where the game really shines. However, big clans (AD etc) don't exactly provide openness to personal choices. So places like Brodgar used to provide that , and it was a great fun.

But ofcourse Brodgar didn't last sadly. It might be that brodgar lacked leadership. Edelreich seem to target that area with the constitution , HOWEVER i think that we need some mechanics to be implemented in game for this to work. Dealing with large communities is really hard. People join and quit all the time. If the community has no direction then it just stagnates like Brodgar did. People need to be motivated and lead (not talking about dictatorship). Just look how AD worked, they had goals to be warriors. Look how IRL countries work, Elite tries to gain wealth as their primary goal and all citizens are lead to help them with that.

In haven it's much harder .

1. Wealth hardly matters in H&H . Sure you get your 80q claim and then what? trading is boring. There is no danger. You can just bot yourself cheese and trade for clay.
Metals are abundant, clay is , high level tools are, food is abundant.

2. if you do not lead your community (or your community does not lead itself ) then you hardly accomplish anything (Brodgar).

tl;dr haven lacks mechanics to keep large communities intact. Wealth is not that hard to get. Fighting attracts less people and all of them are divided in the larger clans.

Nope. Srsly wealth is nothing in hnh. You grind pearls for a couple days and you can buy anything. There is no danger to trading. so everyone just produce shit to infinity, everyone is wealthy

Edited. It's like you're arguing yourself in your post tbh
Also, if you think 4-5 pearls is wealth with which you can buy anything, you are missing the point of the game. For comparison, ramones has 4 digits of pearls. THAT's wealth. Go grind that for a couple of hours pls.
ALSO, "you just bot yourself cheese" you do realize we're talking about the game excluding botting, right? When you bot, YOU don't do it, your bot does.
ALSO no. 3: with wealth you can buy anything? Who do you think you're buying from? From people who are wealthy. They MAKE the stuff you buy. They have excess of that stuff. And they're not idiots. If you think grinding pearls was an easier way to wealth than making the things yoruself, you're wrong. Sure it's faster way to get yourself a nice ranger's cape, but with a proper setup it's easier their way. Especially if you bot, but that's gay.

:) I am working on that very thing. By this weekend you can expect the original post to become more goal oriented and easier to decipher at a glance.

You are correct that there are some problems with the game for dealing with large communities. One of them was with simply making the game the platform for real-time conversations above something like Skype (though Skype does have some benefits, as well as these forums & private forums). The idea is to get these concerns brought to Jorb and Loftar's attention, in addition to the rest of the community.

One more thing that is being done differently than Brodgar is that, this caters to how people will actually and naturally play and progress in the game. People want to be part of their close-knit group of friends, and still call the shots for where and how they live. This is village life. However, at the same time, people want to tap into the protection and profit that close village-to-village ties offer. Separate villages are given that unity, and the benefits to it are much stronger as they are jointly responsible for how their union ultimately develops; the villages are jointly responsible for how the Edelreich develops.

The villages, through easy collaboration, ultimately decide what restrictions they will give themselves and what freedoms they will possess; all the while, they govern themselves locally.

That's what this says,
The Edelreich Constitution Article IV. Section. 4. wrote:The powers not delegated to the Edelreich by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the villages, are reserved to the villages respectively, or to the hearthlings.

I am really excited for what I have in store for this weekend, we will just have to wait and see if it excites you all as well. :P
