Oh look, our first raid. How utterly... not exciting.

a raid doesnt always create a drama but often makes poopoo.

Well, one of the raiders was killed and the raid was broken by our defenders. The bloke is actually a nice fellow, and said he wont come back after we contacted him. I think it was well handled, but we must grieve for the New Brodgarian new player who was killed by the raiders, and the alt of another.

That and a few are mine. I was luring a bear to water with fresh alts. Also pave alts that die from hunger. There is a lot of reasons.

It's not a safe place! Don't come unless you are prepared to die. That said, with proper precautions, it's unlikely you will get killed.

On a normal day there, you have a bunch of people either working solo or doing things together to achieve a common goal. Sure, there are scents everywhere. There is a lot of trolls griefing and talking crap, with a few people chasing them down and killing or ko'ing them. But, at the same time, there are no walls, the hs are public and most people spend a fair amount of time outside of their plot gathering materials or other things. It is very, very unsafe.

It is also very, very fun. The community is fun and everyone is always talking in village chat. People give things with no regard or concern for reimbursement or payment. People trade for things they need or want. People sharing nodes of various types here is very commonplace. You can get all this in any village in the game, I guess. I haven't been a member of any large, well known or feared village. That doesn't appeal to me much in this game, I suppose. But, for a hermit like me, the community is probably the most appealing thing about it. That and the unknown variable that comes into play whenever you walk outside of your own plot and close the gate behind you.

Another plus is being able to do what you want. Yeah, there is an idol. We are a village, per se. But, if you ask Robben if it's ok to do something. His usual response is that it's up to you. It's an open city. You are free to do what you will. Survive or die. You must have, no doubt read the first post prior to typing in the heathsecret. So, I think it's safe to assume, you should not have been surprised to see dead bodies when you spawned and walked into town.
