You're right of course. Any objections to opening it again?

EDIT: Spawn points now unlocked.

We have seen even more expansion in the last week. The north west in particular, but also the south west and south east. Generally people choose areas where its easier to get hold of some wood.

Interesting things I've noticed:

- Formation of pretty large cleared areas. They are definitely being cleared out faster than people can build in, so we are looking at future grasslands I think. Give it a few more weeks and we should have regular spawns of aurochen, mouflons etc.

- It takes about 3 and a half minutes at walking pace to go across town when walking north / south.

- Lots of trade stalls have appeared in the last week, with more each day.

- Some people have started knocking down their palisades and building brick walls.

- There are now over seventy buildings within the town, and over eighty plots.

I think things are now almost at Brodgar W6 proportions when it comes to population/size, if not quite yet in terms of development.

Apparently there is once again no room by any of the three hearth fires listed. :(

Hello, I saw your thread on the forums and I decided that your lovely little peaceful community is exactly right for me. I have recently endured a long journey with my main to your supergrid from literally the other side of the world (southwest corner). I will have at least one hermit character because I am fond of this lifestyle, BUT, some of my favorite experiences in this game were the days I lived in a village. I wish to join you, but not empty handed. I have been here since world 4 so even though my character may be a noob, I myself am not one.

When I worked in a village, I prided myself as a lumberjack. And from what I read on the forums, you guys are in dire need of one. I can bring 6 logs to the front gate (provided you have one) at a time and I'm willing to keep at it till the need is met. There aren't many lumberjacks out there, most people want to be farmers or hunters or cheesemakers. I like lumber jacking. I could even do it in such a way that is pro nature and isn't clear-cutting if you would like. I learned a method from a friend that is more hippie-like to the trees.

Please PM me back. I might be valuable, but even if not, I'd like to be a friendly neighbor ripe for the trading

Also, I attempted to send this as a PM to Yoland, but it said that he does not exist....not exactly sure what that means but here is the message anyway in case someone is listening who is existent

None of the provided hearth secrets work. I'm assuming they were spammed?

It probably needs to be relocated in future to be directly beneath idol. And the BRODGAR text should be above or something, because right now its half obscured. Pretty cool though anyway. ;-)

I know I could edit my last post, but I am bumping this thread because the town is always open to immigration and I want new people to be able to see it.

So, latest town map.

Image

Another six or seven immigrants in the last few days. We have a nice mix in town. Not only people who are new to the game, but experienced players too. Because everybody has their own plot and does their own thing, the newbie players don't need to be a burden on the experienced players, but they can also help eachother out. I have seen a fair few people gathering logs and such for other players in exchange for goods and curios. The treeline is very far out now, but we have some road developments to help keep lumber flowing in. To the east is a five tile wide road that runs right into the forest, now with milestones for easy use.

EDIT: Added to front page, but if its not already obvious, murderers/raiders/thieves are not welcome to live in Brodgar.
