When u say "Why don't you join Brodgar?" is like "Why don't you want to die?"Unless the security, the village is full of friendly people willing to cooperate

Joining End Brodgar now means you can contribute to the town's development and meet new people. There are alts from many major villages and with w8's changes it's unlikely that you will ever live in the same village as these people any time soon, if at all. Sure you can join it later when it has double walls and some safety, but some would consider that leeching.

People often throw all Brodgars in the same bag and say they're doomed from the start but I think that's a mistake. Last time I visited it Yolan's Brodgar was still somewhat active, and the idol changed a few times as well. New Brodgar was barely raided at all after it's outer wall was built, and it only failed because Robben abandoned it and there was no way to oath new chars to it. New villagers even started temporary plots outside the gate while waiting for an oath inside. Raiders don't seem to have been a cause for failure in either case. End Brodgar's villagers are surprisingly indifferent to death and perhaps raids won't matter to them either. While people were being murdered during last week's raid there was a guy fishing and people kept farming and feasting as if nothing was happening. Yesterday there was still blood and undespawned gear on the ground and villagers were like "I gotta harvest those pumpkins" or something.

Yeah, I was a part of Robben's Brodgar. Went inactive for about a month because of a big trip, came back and the village was in total ruins. Sure, there was like 2 or 3 people still living there, but everyone else had abandoned it. I thought it was due to people getting bored after the outer wall was done, but hey, you learn something new every day.

I do like the concept, and yep, had fun in New Brodgar, but I guess I prefer something more permanent. Guess it's just an old preference - back in W3 I was a member of the same village for nearly the whole world, except for a few weeks where I was basically "house sitting" someone's little village.

We don't realy care about the raids much. Life in Brodgar continues as always.
