With the relative safety that a brickwall can bring, people are working hard on personal and community projects here.

People go out to hunt and forage, fish and dig, mine and log lumber. The public farms are being reworked to offer better q crops as well as increase ease of planting/harvesting.

The community, while missing key figures that are, sadly, no longer around, is still thriving. We grow in population with each trickle of new immigrants and new players a like. People are willing and able to help. People are showing others, who have often lived alone in this game, that there is a community other than the raiders and griefers. Not that those lifestyles are not worth living, but that there is another option than living alone.

Residents of Old Brodgar are here as well. Either on their toons that have been oathed over, or totally new alts.

People are progressing. People are thriving. Industries are being established with multiple people working on multiple projects, all running concurrently.

All are welcome here it seems. And, like everyone else, we hit an occasional hiccup. Bumps in a dirt road beaten down by several carts and feet and wagons. We keep going. We keep living. We keep the dream alive.

Thank you, to all the people here. For showing me and others that there are nice people in this game, who are willing to work with you, and have the patience to stand beside you in times that can become quite frustrating. Thank you to the people who have griefed us, and raided us. You've only helped pull us together and make us that much stronger and wiser. While our meeting were not by chance, and not on the best of terms, You have become a part of this cities legacy and history.

If I may leave a quote, of course from a famous person:

so this flopped or what? I play every day , I check on new brodgar every time I go foraging and havent seen a single person since the first time I met Robben. the walls are also closed now , so much for "Open City".

edit: I came back with gifts for giving me the Edelweißs the first time but yeah... never seen anyone.

Far from flopped. You seem to come at the wrong time, maybe? There was literally a handful of people and then some most of the day yesterday.

the walls are also closed now , so much for "Open City"

We were getting raided daily by people and it was pretty much necessary to survive and continue to progress. It is still open, as there is no recruitment, any one can be oathed over or spawn at a public hearth secret.

You can't see into the city because of the Brickwall, Petal. No worries, there are numerous people there - I am pretty sure we have presence within the city 24/7. You should try to contact some via PM, or skype.

How does porting to a village work? The wiki says one can only travel half a supergrid with 10 agi. Would it take several days to get there, sleeping off the weariness?
