Seeking village to join, casual friendly sharing

Hello, I am seeking a casual community to join and meet some friendly friends, to combine resources, knowledge, talents, and work together to become stronger.

Although I have only familiarized myself with the game for a few days now and enjoying myself, I am captivated and would like to continue to settle into things here. I've explored the entire area around me, and while it is big enough for me to get going, I discovered I am completely boxed in on a large island by the surrounding settlements, so the only way I will be able to explore and develop is by joining my efforts with others. Until then I'm likely a sitting duck, needing some swim lessons.

A newer village is probably ideal for me, where I'll probably be accepted more easily.

Considering starting an alt character or two to better specialize at certain skills. My current main is basically a generalized skillset to learn the basics to survive and slowly develop what I can build. Having a hard time locating clay lately. Starting to build a log cabin now, and it's nearly finished already, and trying to be as tree-friendly as possible to keep resources available for others. I'm all into preservation and using best methods to make resources bountiful and high quality.

It seems a bit odd I have not yet encountered anyone yet in game, or had anyone attempt to steal anything from me after being logged for several hours in the past few days. So far I have been peace-loving and stayed away from other people's property, so perhaps that is why they are letting me live in peace as well.

Thank you to all those who replied. I am happy to learn that on my first post I was successful in gathering a few helpful messages from a few here. In the end I managed to find a new friend and we are working together to help one another out, and I am quite pleased so far.

For now, I am no longer seeking new villages to join. If things change in the future, I will post an update.
