Friendly experienced hunter/gatherer looking for a village!

Postby Jesus_Smith_Nandez » Sun Mar 16, 2014 7:35 am

Heyo!

I'm a returning player from world 4, 5, and part of 7 until I quit after a particularly heartless raid. I forgot the password to my other account (or it was hacked), so I made this new one here!

Info:
Name: Mike
Time zone: EST
Age: 16, though I'm not a really annoying egotistical asshole that most teenagers are made out to be. At least I think I'm not :o
Country: Canada

Languages spoken: Canadian English fluently, Canadian French fluently, and a bit of Italian.

Past experience: I player as a hermit world 4 and 5 on and off, and played as a hunter/forager that doubled as a warrior with 400 odd UA when I played this world. I was pretty good at my job, in my opinion. I know the ins and outs of how to fight, but need some help with some more complicated styles. I know next to nothing about farming or whathaveyou, just foraging, hunting and killing things.

Past villages and characters: For now, I'd rather not say, not because I have enemies, but because this community is so small and there are so many toxic people that someone might recognize me from a past raid or something and dick me over for fun. If we get into contact, I'll tell you. I just don't want to throw it out here for my safety and the villages safety.

Criminal record: I only killed one hermit, once, basically because he was being really dumb and prancing around with his key, all this stuff, and like 12 UA. I regret it now, since now I know what it feels like to have to start over. Other than that I've only fought in self-defence and for my village.

Existing characters: I had none on this guy, but I recently told a friend I was getting back into HnH and he gave me his account, which has a guy I can inherit from that gives me 100UA, 68STR, as well as hunting and foraging skills, which is great!

What I'm looking for: A village, with a Bwall, nice people who aren't KOS bastards and play this game more for fun than to be bigots. I'd prefer you know the game decently well though, with decent Q curios, a bit of organization, and you know what to do when shit hits the fan. A bit of action and raids are fun sometimes, but I'm happy just being a warrior for warriors sake, as well as foraging and hunting to help out.

I do have a mic and am willing to talk on mumble, vent, teamspeak, whatever, as long it it doesn't bug up my computer.

So yeah! PM me or bump the thread if it's low if you're interested, and feel free to ask questions about me, Ive all ready answered a few!

Thanks for reading, and I bid you all good luck in these hostile land!

I started out like this, then people came flocking into the "un" official village I wanted to start. A troll got in, we got an offer to join a Well-Established village. Good fortune to you and your travels.

So basically you want free everything, refuse to do any real jobs, in exchange for being a just in case warrior who pretty much knows the simple part of the combat system, and don't have a char? I'm sorry but this just reeks of 'leecher'.
woops missed the part where you said you know how to forage. Hope it doesn't count as a boring job. Good luck :)

Got this impression too. There is no such job as warrior in hnh. All the fighters are either alts of someone with real specialization or leechers (at least at some pretty long point).

Suspicious.

played as a warrior

I was pretty good at my job

I only killed one hermit, once

since now I know what it feels like to have to start over

Something is not right. So you were only raided once, but you are good warrior and were defending your village, only 1 fresh noob died while you were a good warrior fighting for your village? I guess you skiped some part about honorable fighting with equals, but this is too rare in hnh to believe in.

I'd rather not do any really boring jobs

Doesn't sound tempting. And even might sound offensive for those, who will do all the boring jobs for your sake, while you're being too good for that.

Don't get me wrong, you seem like a nice guy, just pointing at some unattractive parts and flaws in your resume. Good luck anyway.

Yeah, you guys are right. I didn't really see how douchey I sounded there. Thanks for pointing it out! I fix it up right quick.

As for only one hermit, I sparred a lot, hunted with UA, and by criminal record, I thought it only meant killing an innocent. If someone aggros you or is being a dick and you kill them, it's not a crime, really. We were only, like, hardocre raided once. People pestered us all the time though, and aggrod us outside our walls and raided the pali'd plots. Thats were I fought other players most of the time. Nearly every time it ended up as a inconclusive 5-hour boat chase though.

The reason I think my account was hacked is because I gave the password to my LS to use my alts, trusting him, and my guess is he changed it after I left to stop me from logging on and ravaging the village for fun, just in case.

Does that close most of the loose ends?
