Experienced Player

Postby Shyvana » Mon Jun 30, 2014 4:24 am

I have played back in world 6 but quit that last few months before the servers were going to be reset. So I'm looking for a good place to live and grow in and help out as much as I can. Looking to be a miner as my main job also want to be a fighter so I can join battles or protect the village.

There's recently an outbreak of people (potential miners) trying to join villages, then they steal food (port it somewhere else) and leave the village. Be careful about inviting 1-post guys claiming to have been playing for a pretty long period of time.

The community doesn't suck. He's just pointing out your application sucks. Try harder or it will seem you're just another guy flaming alts to try and get into villages to raid them.

That wasn't the thing I meant, what I did was warning the rest of the readers about the latest threat of a wannabe miner stealing all villages' food (porting them elsewhere).

I'm sure the trolls notified the villages about stealing their shit.
The fact you didn't even bother to read http://www.havenandhearth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=31467 before posting says enough for me, but that's just an opinion.

It's really simple to discern the ability of the player and his experiance. You simply ask him related things on the topic he's interested in while speaking to that person on a voice chat program, and if they take too long to answer then they obviously have no idea what they are doing, or they are looking it up on the wiki. Obscure questions I expect people to look up (like %chance of iron becoming wrought iron) but other things I expect people who know what they're doing to know instantly (quality of layer 3 ore pre-processed for example)

Lay off the guy, he may be pretty legit or he may be a scammer, either way, if you're not interested in him post your warning and move on.

To the poster: Relax. People on this community aren't all the same. Some are brash, eya, but some are cool.
