Is Grey City still active?

While exploring, I came across a fairly wide area with runestones mentioning Grey City just about everywhere. With a mountain, swamp, river, and mudflat all in the general proximity, I was considering settling down around there. Not, however, if they're still active (scary!). If they are, I'm probably getting far, far away, considering some of the threats I've seen on runestones.

If you can't find the actual city itself then it might be an elaborate ruse set up by a hermit who doesn't want people living near him...

I've seen old recruitment threads. It used to be pretty big, from what I gather.

A while ago some new players unrelated to Grey City took over Camelot and were rebuilding and repairing it. They were attacked so I'm not sure they are the ones living there now. If they are it's ok, they're cool people.

Oh, well that's good. I settled just a little out of the runestone radius, so I shouldn't be in any danger even if they weren't cool. Good that I don't have to move, then. Thank you.
