Assuming there are party indicators, or some other function in the default client to find another person, we will certainly not take a corner.
Failing that, we will look for some other way to facilitate meeting one another.
But if there is absolutely no way to find another person in the open world until maps become public?
We will take a corner.
Any faction that would want to raid Brodgar with regularity will have mapping tools far quicker than the general public. Even when and if mapping becomes public, it's hard to say if the average Brodgarian migrant could effectively use a public map to navigate to us.
If we don't pick a corner, we are faced with the likely scenario that it's harder for new migrants to find us than raiders.
If our neighbors in the corner want to attack us, we will either accept that as a fact of life... or organize and kill them.
Brodgar has never been a good decision for people that want to live in peace and protection. It has always been a city easy to get started in, filled with people that are fast to be your friends.
I will not put New Brodgar in a position where new players are unable to find it. Values of open access and ease of entry for migrants take precedent over small gains in security.
