I like this whole joy of discovery thing. Did you know that you can use this new anti cheese mechanic to cheese animals? It is even easier then before.

actually hilarious

i can't wait for this to become the "surely, cheesing is fixed now" x856 series of patches for them to burn time on, before they give up on these dumbass mechanics and revert them

I think videogamedunkey put it best. I couldn't really find the clip so I'm paraphrasing here

No matter how good the AI is, no matter what the devs do, the players will just keep pushing until it breaks and all the cracks are shown.

You can't just keep applying bandaids to it, just leave it be and --->TEST<--- some things with a group of fucking actual players in a test environment. You can do very very big experimental changes in 1 month invite-only worlds, give everybody starter kits and bases, and tell them the goal, give them a cape or even a token for it. Costs you nothing but projected income. They're not willing to manage any people, but they're willing to sit around watching Snail exploit all day to figure out how. What's the difference here?

Also, in this (competitive, grindy, obtuse and persistent shared sandbox) game there exists a much-stronger-than-usual incentive to find cracks and widen them

Don’t think you’re gonna convince the gnomes tho. They’ve proven across the decades that they simply do not understand game design as a concept and are entirely uninterested in learning.

I still want full legacy mechanics with all the modern updates, id play fr

I started playing legacy at 12 (wild), 28 now, i love this game from the bottom of my heart, but its been the biggest slow burn ive ever seen. It lost its original direction ages ago, the goal their original mission tried to create turned into a bastardized oppression of game mechanic boundaries. What the fuck is object controlled objects after 10 years. What siege mechanics? This game has been my side interest more than half my life. Watch the W3 videos, and I will still tell you, I want that kind of gameplay in the current updated world.

I come back every now and then to browse but its sad that only 10-20 hard-core giga retards keep the game dramatically afloat.

The game is a money grab because if they wanted to make the best survival/grinding game ever they had the time to do so. Im a sucker, ill play, and ill pay, but not where it is now.
They literally dont care. And its been this way for a number of years.

Im not a hater still used to be one of the best games ever.
