Belive me mid/late game hunting with b12/sword is even easier, animals can't break ya armor. You don't need arrows<save time> and you can chase animals on horse, ez.

Q 56 Bow, Q66 Bone arrow, MM 60 shot fox at close range 41 points damage 1rst shot, 52 damage second shot, fox ran I didn't even bother to chase to try for 3rd shot, Nerf an bow vs PvE, a bit too harsh IMHO

Better raise melle now and get sword/b12. Bows will be nerfed even more, jorb will not stop i gess. He do not like archers:)

I know of one particular archer that I'm starting to develop a mild dislike for, at least.

Okay, but how will the man hunt nowadays with current changes in your hypothetical world?
Do you think skilled archer will now aim for animal from distance and shoot it? Nope, 'cause animal will leave the spot were it was while I will aim in it with "significantly increased accuracy". And about "ridiculous damage" - now even a skilled archer can't one-shoot animal. So now we have no bow-hunting instead of retarded one. Okay. But without trapping - we literaly have no hunting at all. 'Cause melee hunting is just fighting against animals. It is for warriors, not hunters.

Instead of this couldn't you just have made a move that increases soak against archery or blocks arrows completely with a shield? Or added an extra value to armor so that they have additional specific AC against either sling, stone/bone, eventual metal arrow, or spear, hoping that there's more dynamics in ranged combat? Or made it so that you can't wield bows while using ctcs and metal armor?
As it is you're simply making archers worse, and less interesting. And more like legacy, actually.

no, I do not believe Jorb does not like archers, I can actually agree that bows were over powered, however having actually used hunting bows IRL I know it doesn't take 3 arrows to kill a red fox lol, I believed bows needed to be "fixed" both PvP and Pve, PvP by armor worn decreasing damage significantly, and PvE based on Animal "toughness" I certainly wouldn't expect to 1 shot a bear be it a brown bear or a Kodiak, A 1 shot kill on a mule tail deer is even a 50-50 chance, but I wouldn't try it on an Elk or Moose. As for the improved hit chance I personally had very few misses at range so the increase there is negligible IMHO, the "Aim speed" Ummm Wow I may as well build a camp fire and put on a pot of tea before releasing the first arrow at this point. And while it seems that the major point of sword or b12 being able to be blocked in PvP DOES NOT mean that the same weapon in PvE can't 1shot, so should we reduce their damage in PvE as well?
