IP probably wasn't even that bad of an idea though tbh.

I think it's pretty dumb that boats act as a force multiplier, allowing a single character to be exposed to 10+, which would not be possible in any other situation, and I think that should be fixed.

I think the real fix here is object controlled objects, and walkable boats, but that is some ways away. I am open to the idea of making the driver be the one, and only one, able to hit from a ship.

You say that, but then you also keep touting that you can fire with bows from the boat.

Is that not the same thing? Instead of UA/MC it's a bow. Having 10 people with a bow on a single boat is a force multiplier.
That is not the only issue that Shulba was raising. The problem still exists that people downed in small, bashable boats are still vulnerable.

Nearly everyone is in unanimous agreement that unconscious bodies should prevent a boat from being bashed. And yet, we still have not seen that change.
It is one of the most obvious, and agreeable changes that could be done.

Just make a buff like visitor gates apply. Something like "Passenger", and let the driver don't get it. The problem will be solved.

While we are at it: make whales slower if you would prefer us to fight them on water because right now you agro it and race to land

Nobody has said "I'm upset because I cannot cheeze animals. People are upset that anything that swims is now extremely hard to fight because you just have to hope they wander close enough to land to target. Or swim kek. They keep saying we can use bows as if everyone who went into UA or MC can refund the millions of LP put into those skills to switch on a whim. There's also the PvP aspect of it. Now you can commit crimes and climb back into your knarr filled with alts and there's no way for a defender to retaliate.

What's more upsetting is they let one shit poster with bots significantly degrade combat for a majority of the player base. Nothing about this change is fun and doesn't even fix what they were trying to and just sets the idea that players can dictate their time developing by throwing a tantrum.

I'm sure there will be bugs aplenty to fix once public testing starts, but unless there are any really hard-to-fix ones (here's to hoping there aren't), I'd expect the new client to be done and in use before summer is over, hopefully sooner rather than later.

That's from last June, so one year. Trust me, I've been countin
