That completely justified pessimism though
When are we getting curio wear back?

++. Exp cost scales with lp wear, fixed.

Edit: although Jorb does want to work on a new curio system, which may be less prone to 24/7 afk botting.

True that. Idea.

What if: If you hold a completed equipment, and right click another completed equipment of the same kind, you get the option to recycle the items. The items are consumed, and replaced with a new item of that same type, of their averages in quality, with one available slot. Also: For each item slotted into either of the items recycled, your roll to reslot to the new item. If reslotting fails, you lose the slot item, *but* if reslotting succeeds, you add the item to the new, clean item, in addition to its one available slot.

That way you can recycle old sets to to get better starting materials.

Averaging old cloth sets with higher cloth sets would lower the quality

Maybe just an option to remove (and maybe destroy) a slotted slot item and return the same clothing set to normal with the same chance of guilding an additional slot as before that item was added. Maybe a last in - last out approach on the slot items this way?

So now newbies are even more confused by making equipment that has no obvious benefit. They also are further shot in the foot as their lower end gear can effectively be bricked without any ease of replacement.

Because clothing needs gilding to even work this means newbies can't even use basic stat boosting gear to give themselves a decent chance. When faced with a confusing and punishing system the usual response is to simply give up. This will not improve variety, nor reduce alt influence, but it will completely fuck over lower end players.

Another well thought out and tested update

W3-7 Hermit Supreme
W8 Seargent Derp: The Un-kinned Kinslayer, New Brodgar

This guy is on to something.

I'm really pissed I have to resocket my druid cloak, and I get the feeling it won't be half as good.

The spleen is what the English call it,
We call it simply, Russian soul.”

An idea to consider: Tedium, a Feature.

I can see adding the slot items for a extra jump in gear but why take what we worked hard crafting away. -1 update.
